In two months I will be getting my FFS. So I guess it's time for a thread...

I am afraid, but I'm also happy. It's the same nervous feeling I had before SRS. I think FFS is such a drastic surgery. It's about my face. It's what people know me by, it's really scary... I've spend about 5 years thinking about doing it, and this one seems to be the final surgery I will have. (
they all say that!
). But it will happen.

I'm opting for a local cranio maxillofacial surgeon in a local hospital, so none of the known ones. My reasons are too many, and personal. I do want to say this though: I feel more safe in a local hospital than a private clinic in a country I don't know. That's my preference, and has nothing to do with the skills/experience. My same preference went into choosing a local SRS surgeon, and I am glad that I did because the results are simply beyond what I expected. Going by my gut feeling never disappointed me, it's how I survive.
Here are my procedures:
1. Zygomatic sandwich osteotomy
2. Jaw reduction
3. Chin reduction
4. Rhinoplasty
5. Hairline: M to inverted U
6. Brow bossing
7. Liplift
Time: Approx 5 1/2 hours.
Does anyone have any tips, suggestions that can make this FFS surgery more comfortable? anything that helps is a plus. If you want to share, please do.
