I'm not quite sure, but the etiquette there seemed to be that men should be kind to ladies. Here in my country, S. Korea, men just stare at ladies, causing complaints, but ladies seem just to accept it. But recently a young lady kicked off an old man who stared at her. Oh. You live in Fairfax. My son started to stay there. He rented the basement of a very old house, paying US$ 1,000 every month, which I think is too expensive. But it is a very nice place, as it is crowded, but still has a lot of forest, including the lakes and creeks. Close to the DC and Dulles international airport. Unlike rural areas, I saw a lot of people there exercise outdoors.

Unfortunately this area is super expensive for renting a place. So the number does not surprise. There are a lot of new apartments being built, maybe he can find something cheaper in the future.
