Either due cos you usually dont 'use' it, or cos of depth failure or simply laziness...how many of you gave up?

I gave up dilating 4 months post op cos I saw it'd be going no where with a 10 cm, I'd get back on track when I do my secondary Sigmoid Colon surgery to regain depth.

never given up on it, but have gone a good month or so without doing it because I wasn't in the mood.
Yes! I'm single
And you'll have to be pretty f'ing amazing to change that

I'm down to every month or so (3 years post-op) and not seeing any problems; I wouldn't have lessened the frequency if I had any of the signs that it was still necessary (tightness, soreness, losing depth), but it seems fine.

I haven't given up, but I do skip more days that not.   :-\

I'm not sure about everyone else, but once post, my life took off in a million different directions.  I focused less on being a trans woman, and more on just being a woman.

I stuck to dilation guidelines at all times, especially in the first 12 months. I feel it was very important, then  again I wanted this to be right SO BAD. After 12 months I believe you can feel how often you need to dilate.

I am coming up to 9 years post op and have been living with my boyfriend for over 6 years, and we have what I call an active sex life. Saying that I still like to dilate once a week, just for my own piece of mind. I realistically do not need it, but it takes away any worries in that dept. Anyway after initial shock of dilation in recovery period, it is not really a hassle to spend approx 20 minutes relaxing by yourself.
