Welcome to Susan's Place. Sadly, for the MTF hormones are limited but the surgery is great. For the FTM the hormones are great but the surgery is not. I suspect it will remain so for a long time because the nerve pathways may not exist to make a FTM fully functional. That said, the FTMs are able to enjoy penetrative sex though not exactly the same way a CIS male would. You will find more about this in the FTM section as the guy have talked extensively about this over the years. The down side for you to consider is the FTMs use testosterone to enlarge the clitoris which is used in the construction of the penis. Included in the package is a number of masculine features such as facial changes, hair growth and lower voice.

Ryno, you have just entered one of my recurring erotic dreams! It usually has both myself and my partner with dual organs and we end up "double dipping", not to mention the oral possibilities.

I have only the penis (which I thoroughly enjoy) and on a few rare occasions when my wife and I are in a deep tantric event, I reach a point where I am not sure which of us is penetrating the other! It really does feel like we have exchanged organs!

You are not weird.  I have also felt at times that would be a nice option. Just imagine, if everybody had both a penis and vagina there would not be any sexual discrimination or unrealistic separation required.

The internal organs and genitals could be basically female with a penis like clitoris that would function as a penis only for sexual penetration and impregnation; urination would still be via a separate "current female like" urethra.  The ovaries would still be internal and function as joint "ovary-testicles".

I would like to be able to pass and be accepted, without question, as either female or male based on my desire at the time.

Corrective surgeries for trans people are suppossed to be necessary and not cosmetic? In fact most people see gender change as a cosmetic thi, as if they're trying to play a sims game and design themselves with what they like not what they are.

So I find saying someone 'wants' something seems very aesthetic driven rather than identity driven, its not needed or necessary. It makes it seem to others that trans people are just people who are aesthetically discontent with their bodies, rather than internally. I've been around enough folks who think this is the case with transgender people to know they cannot in their minds grasp that our bodies and mental states dont align, gender is sex to them and its very rigid. To them gender is just a game or a costume, so saying you want to be physically this or that is purely cosmetic and unescessary.


I can relate to an extent...I dont always hate having a vagina per se, sex with one is nice sometimes and its the only part I have so I have to deal with it. In fact Im often not sure on how fully accurate bottom surgeries are to the real biological thing so I may not even bother., unfortunately. I've considered the thought in fantasy of being some sex shapeshifter, having a penis most times but having a vagina some. Its entertaining, I think. But given the solid chance Id have a penis only, because a vagina isnt something that fits me, none of my gender transition has been weighed based o thinking a penis would feel better/as good or that I look ugly as a female and would prefer looking as a guy. 

^I'm not sure I would call this cosmetic, it would really depend on every individual's reasoning. I understand where you're coming from since I'm also a person that sees medical transition as a treatment, see transitioning from a medical perspective, etc... I usually think "don't medically transition unless you know you want/need it" but usually keep this to myself as people are gonna do what they want and it's not my job to tell people what to so with their lives. BUT sex is complicated.

I am in a relationship with a cis male and we like to switch it up in sex sometimes. I enjoy being submissive/penetrated, so I like my current parts used by him (but there's aspects to my reproductive system that make me so uncomfortable and nervous and paranoid about sex there too) I don't want to be anally penetrated. But I also sometimes wish I had both so that when we switch it up and I'm going to be topping, I wish I had a penis too. I know there are strap ons which is great but it's also partially a "I wish I could give my boyfriend the real deal" kind of thing, even though he says it doesn't matter to him it sometimes matters to me and makes me insecure. I wouldn't give up my current genitals, but at the same time, especially in the past six months or so, I do really wonder what it'd be like to have both in aka anatomically impossible way... in my own case I wouldn't say it's for aesthetic but for sexual acts and comfort with myself and being able to please my boyfriend the way I sometimes wish I could, even though he assures me everything is perfect for him

It's no more cosmetic than wanting a phalloplasty instead of a meta or just natural growth is, or the reverse. Just because it doesn't fit a binary idea of male or female doesn't make it unnecessary

I don't think it's weird.
Personally, the only surgical adjustment I'm interested in right now is a simple meta (maybe ring meta just to be able to stand to pee) without a vaginectomy. I've never really been dysphoric about my downstairs and enjoy that area with others, but having a penis would be great and always wished I had one. If phalloplasty was perfect, I would definitely opt to get that, but I still would not want a vaginectomy.
The desire for any surgeries is entirely subjective. It doesn't make us any less trans or masculine.

Most people are wrong. Most people haven't been unlucky enough to experience dysphoria (yet). (I'm quite sure there's no difference between what we feel and what someone who's lost a limb feels.) If some of us have a body map that is completely masculinized, some of us may logically have a body map that is only partially masculinized. And that's okay! If hermaphrodites didn't exist, someone would have invented them ... yup, pretty sure they did.

This isn't about aesthetics or about the heavy symbolism we put on these wee body parts. It's about that person's dysphoria. If you are against unnecessary reassignment surgery (which, being unnecessary, would CAUSE dysphoria) then you would not recommend this person have a vaginectomy. It's clearly not needed or indicated.

I've been lurking on Tumblr and plenty of other FTMs talk about not having dysphoria over the front hole and not wanting it removed. I've also lurked on MTF forums where folks talk about not wanting GRS/having penis reshaped into a vagina. This seems to be a thing with a certain percentage of trans people which is what we expect if it is a disorder of partial masculinization since every partial masculinization will go differently! Duh!

What skin is it off your nose if some FTMs keep their front hole?

In a way that's possible by having the clitoris growth after T and that could be thought of as a mini penis and then still keeping your vagina. So in a sense you would have both.
