Why do so many people have strange experiences with it? I have never used it myself, but why do people use it? Are there other uses for it other than communication? I have never personally never used one but I don't want to mess with it .

I had a Ouiji board when I was a kid. It collected dust because I found it to be very boring. It comprised of cardboard and plastic. There was no game to it. No purpose other than some person asking a question and some other person pushing the plastic circle over to whatever answer would annoy the asker the most. As far as the board being dangerous, that is just a promotional tool to keep it on store shelves.

You need a medium for results ;)
I am more of a seance person. Candle flickering can be used by less powerful spirits.

Thank you. You're the first person I have come across that used the board and didn't have weird experiences. Most don't share their mundane experiences I guess.

So the board doesn't have anything special about it and it depends on who is using it?

That would be a fair description. If the people using it have any mediumistic talent it would work, if not, it wouldn't.

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

It's a toy, sold by a toy company, in the toy aisle. It's good for a laugh, not much else.

Does that mean anything else could substitute for an ouiji board?

Yup. You can use letters written on cards and a glass if you like. That's what they used to do before Parker Brothers (?) created the actual game you can buy. The history of this stuff is fascinating, even if you don't believe that it's real.

I don't want to ask anyone for proof but I wonder if the fact that so many people have had experiences with it is some kind of proof? Proof that something is happening that may or not be spirits?

Well then, go and spin it!  ;D ...if you dare!  >:-)

I won't though... too much bad stuff happening with that board. Two local teens in a town nearby played in a tent, and after that they killed themselves and wrote a message about that so called "game". I don't mind if you play it, but I would advise against it. I have a gypsy background, and this is not a game. The board has existed for hundreds of years, but in different forms. After spiritualism, they made a game out of this lore. But it's not a game. Anyway, that's my thoughts on it.

That's pretty scary.

And no way am I going to investigate on my own lol.

I wonder if all these stories count as proof that something is up with the board. I'm on the fence cause some people have clearly had no strange occurrences.

Anything that falls under the realm of the spiritual would be very difficult if not impossible to prove. Stories that involve the Ouija board are purely anecdotal. For every story of something "spooky" happening, I'm sure there are way more stories of boredom. But boredom is...boring...so people aren't going to share that story with anyone. I would gladly be a guinea pig and sit down with a Quija board and recite every single demonic phrase I can think of and watch as absolutely nothing happened.

Funny quote lol

Your post was informative and helpful,

But still I wonder if there's some way to prove it's not spirits that are interacting with people. If someone did a test of some kind that would be great.

Thanks. It's a little hard to understand but I think it says a user may not even know his hand is moving.

I wish I had the courage to watch YouTube videos of ouiji board experiences, but I wonder if they are faked.

I didn't used believe there was anything to them but I didn't want to chance finding out I was wrong.  So, other than one time when I was a kid, I left them alone.

This is some creepy Universe we live in, and given the potential of countless parallel Universes and all of that quantum jive, who knows what exists in these things... it probably goes beyond imagination, and make ghosts look like a joke.  ;)
