So I have my first appointment with a therapist on July 29th! I am super excited! Is there anything I should focus on talking about?

Congrats!  I remember my first appointment with my gender therapist.  I spent the entire time just talking about myself and what I hoped to accomplish with the sessions.  Before I knew it, the hour was up.  Nothing much got done... it was more of a get-to-know-you type of session.  So I scheduled my next session just 3 days later, because I felt like there was so much more to say.

You might want to consider scheduling your second session very soon after, if you end up feeling the same way I did.

I will most definitely schedule as soon as I possibly can! I'm just hoping I don't get really nervous and start talking really fast.

Just be honest.  Honesty will be the best for you in the long run.  and don't worry about talking too fast.  I'm certain every therapist that deals with transgendered people knows that you will be nervous about talking about it.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I felt so much relief after my first appointment. It was all finally out there. Went a week later and it was more a conversation than just me talking.

congrats!  I've got some paperwork done for therapy...I have their phone number and everything.  Unfortunately, I'm still waiting to have money to actually go.  I'm super happy for you.  The important thing for therapy is just that you tell them everything you're feeling and are able to articulate.  They'll guide you in the right direction for you and before you know it, you'll start to have more answers than questions.  It's amazing.  Best wishes!
