Turns out my surgery May 3 will be Sutter Pacific medial center.  Feeling better about that.

Glad that it worked out for you As far as I know, I'm still getting mine done at Greenbrae Surgery Center, same building as the consultation. I found out when they do the surgeries there,  they transfer patients after the first night to a place called Kindred (recovery facility very close by) where you stay the next two days post op. Thanks so much.  I wanted to reply to your private message, but for some reason I cannot.  I think I have to be a paid member here or make a donation or something.  Regardless, yes, it is close.  I am looking at hotels and tickets now.  Also debating whether to come home after the first or 2nd post op.  If I have no complications, I might come home and be released into my doctor's care since she has a lot of exp with trans patients.  Definitely want to stay connected with you Ruby.

Well, three days post op you're okay to take a little ride. Not comfortable but still okay. If they transfer you the same day you will probably be still numb a bit down there si it shouldnt be a problem either.

I too am interested in full details.. I'm in the Bay Area, so Satterwhite is a local option if I go for SRS (still so early for me!). Honestly I'm in this thread so maybe there is less 'if' than I am admitting to myself right now

Hi Kelseygal, first, you look so good in your profile pic! Yes I will post a thread documenting the experience. In fact, I'll get that started this week because why not. It'll be on the main gender correction surgery board but I'll post a link here too. So far,   I'm very optimistic that he's an amazing surgeon with a very reasonable wait list

I called for a consult..... Was told Aug 10th was the first available date, then a 3-6 month wait for surgery date.  Sorry, I'm not going to wait a year. Thank goodness I have the ability to go where I want.

Tickets booked and hotel room reserved.  Any advice on what to bring from home and what to buy there?  I think my shopping list from them would be better to buy there.  I'll arrive on a Sunday, pre-op appt Monday and surgery on May 3.  Excited and scared to death all at the same time.

I'm due to get cut just 5 days from tomorrow and I'm not even begun packing.
I'm not in a rush. I have a very busy life and this is just a nice thing get done. Like a tune up on a old car.
I'm older and not very typical.

Well, I'm coming up on 7 months post op now. Almost completely healed (only a small amount of swelling and almost no scarring). Looks awesome and I am 100% happy to have chosen Dr. Satterwhite as my surgeon.

That's great Seq, I'm going in December of this year, hope I see good results as well. I'm only 18, and totally ready.

Awesome! You are in great hands. FYI.... I have had sex a few times now which is awesome and I've had no issues with anything. Good luck!!
