Where is the last place you will/did pee standing up?

I am now just 1 month 8 days from being made right.  It occurs to me that I should actually plan out my last standing pee.  I haven't done that for years (not counting some after surgery times where I had no choice).

In Jenny Boylan's book, She's not There she went on a hike and did her 'last stand' on a mountain.
In my case I am considering going out on the water, and standing on the end of a boat.

While I am very happy to cross that line to never see it again but, it feels like I should have a send off, so to speak.
For the girls who are approaching SRS, have you planned such a thing?
For the girls that went through it, did you have a standing send off?

BTW, I would not thought of this except for Jenny Boylan's book.

I have GCS in November. At home there is a toilet and at work I go in an all gender bathroom with a toilet. At the gym I go in the co-ed bathroom and there is a toilet. At Mazzoni my primary care and at the therapy center there is a toilet. So sitting is just natural.

I will not go into a guys locker room at the gym and at work I am not allowed in a men's room. At work it is 90% woman, about 12,600 and there are more single toilet bathrooms than multiple person bathrooms. I can not imaging going next to a guy in a urinal. Urinals smell and there is splash back.

I read Jenny's book too. I do not think I will make a special trip someplace to pee. My luck the wind would kick up and I would get it all over me :)

The last time I can remember well was when I was working as a chauffeur and received an emergency page for an airporter, dang, I thought I was done for the day

But we were always on call and I just happened to be the one who responded and the client was an elderly couple I was familiar with who had requested me

So anyway I put on my grey suit and go pick up the car and head out to the airport, well, the quickest way to that particular airport involved going over a small but dangerous mtn. pass which I had learned to navigate rather well

I realized I had to go tinkle pretty bad so at the top of the mtn. pass where it levels out for a bit I pulled over and ran out into the field to do business

Feeling rather relieved I began to take in the nature around me including a river flowing below

But I had to get on with things and pick up the client and his wife, glad I did because he not only gave his usual generous tip but also doubled it  ;D

Uhmmm...probably right before they roll me out for surgery.

I sit a lot.  However, I'm in wilderness quite often and it really is convenient.  Not convenient enough to make me even think of keeping it.  But if it's still there, why not take advantage of it?

Jen

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Actually I only pee standing when it's very urgent and I need to find any corner in the street to do so. If in a toilet, I used get down to my knees to avoid any possibility of spillage, which has been an historical pet peeve of mine :) But since some time ago I always sit on the toilet. The last standing one was not more than a couple of weeks ago. Since it's still a long time until I'll be righted, I expect there will be some more.

It's been over a year now. I decided not to stand and pee when I started my new job, and I've never looked back.

Every single time i badly need to pee and the "facilities" are absolutely disgusting that you don't know what you might catch.

The last time was about a year ago in a supremely nasty porta-potty.  There were absolutely no other options, and even though I didn't want to, I made an exception for that one case.

Thinking back; it must have been at work in 1997. I again got a nasty wet spot on the front of my trousers after tucking that thing back in. I then decided to sit and found it to be much nicer. Never stood again.

Technically, about 6 days post-op, in the recovery residence's bathroom. ;) One of the great ironies of life was that the catheter required us to stand up.

(With my original equipment, I'm honestly not sure, but I think it was probably a revolting porta-potty at the Dyke March in Boston.)

When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

That is the only place I stand up to be and has been for long time due to my body. It happens I have absolutely no control over it once the water starts running. Hugs

Not 100% sure but it would have been fall of 1979 before going full time and the location would have been my apartment bathroom. I made the decision that RLE should be RLE in every way and that meant no more standing.

When I was down at the farm a couple of months ago.  When you're down at the creek or in a pasture on the backside of the farm, it's not really convenient to ride back to the house in the golf cart or the Polaris.  So the pasture or the woods serves as an outdoor toilet.  Hey, it's good enough for the cows!

Oh that's true, I had forgotten about this. It's a daily for me, actually.

It has been years for me - i think the last place was a campground lavatory in about 2005 or so. I simply refuse to and will go out of my way not to. Just one of my quirks i guess.

Since my wife uses a cane and doesn't stand well for long periods, we have a shower chair.  I can even sit in the shower. ;D

I didn't count the shower but I should have.  To be fair, I expect that to stay true even after surgery.  I will probably squat a wee bit though.
