So I have been feeling awful about the way I look. And now it is starting to creep into my future self too. I have been thinking about what happens if I don't like how I will look after I have started my transition. I have always had low self esteem, especially when it comes to how I look. So does anyone have any advice.

No idea of how you look and your background to give constructive advice. I can honestly say that we are often our own worst judge. We notice every little flaw of ours, flaws other people don't look or notice the slightest. Other people care about the bigger picture. However, we are used to seeing ourselves everyday, we are much more nitpicky than other people are. So don't be too worried

It's a simple decision. Would you prefer returning to life as a male or are you willing to risk it to become a women. For me it was a simple decision. There way no way I could return to life as a male so the only way forward was as a female.

Your fear and discomfort in public will become less as you appear in public more. Even if you don't pass, most people won't comment on it and you will pass better the more relaxed you are.

That's the female in us. I am glad I was able to somewhat master makeup at an early age. But yes, everythings a blemish.

I guess what I do is I remember the things people have said that they like about my appearance...which usually tend to revolve around my hair (I currently have a deathhawk going on). I also try to find little things that I like about myself when I look in the mirror, and it has been getting easier to just see myself. Another thing I've done, which may be a bit extreme, is pose as an art model. Artists will usually have something good to say, and it's interesting to see how different people render you. I used to be HORRIBLY insecure about my body until I forced myself to do that...but to each their own.
