I'm 2 years and 2 months post-op, and, up until today, was yet to get my first post-op orgasm.

Orgasms came easy to me throughout my life, starting when I was too young to remember. Once I began taking Spiro, it became a bit harder (but doable, and so-o-o-o worth it...) However since my surgery, nothing. The sensation felt like it was all there, and I experienced the same arousal as always, but couldn't seemed to get it to build up to anything.

I went to see a GYN with experience with post-op women, who said there was nothing physically wrong, and a sex therapist who gave me all sorts of exercises that were somewhat fun, but didn't produce the desired result. I tried all sorts of positions, techniques and variations, and even some mail-order toys (which did nothing for me).

Sad to say, I was beginning to regret my decision to get SRS, though I really do love the shape of my lowers way better than the old equipment.

I posted here a while ago, and a couple women mentioned that Dr. McGinn routinely puts her patients on low-dose T and that it seems to work. It's taken me the better part of a year to get hold of a prescription (it is off-label and the insurance company turned down two appeals to cover it) but I was finally able to get my hands on some. I cleared the entire day so I didn't feel any time pressure (though it ended up taking about 40 minutes. TMI?)

It worked.

I had an amazing climax, every bit as good as the ones I had pre-op. It's taken a couple years, but I now know two things. First, that I CAN have post-op O's, and second, exactly what I need to make them work.

YAY!!!

Congrats!!! May I ask whether it is with external or internal stimulation?

Congrats!

I remember reading somewhere that T is a sex hormone, so it stands to reason that taking a little bit will "light some fires" inside...Enjoy it, girl!
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

"Oh My!" as one celeb says.  Really good news for you and your persistence has paid off.  Thank you for sharing your journey.  Once again you have provided real time solutions for others to learn from.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

External. The action was remarkably similar to what I had to do with the old equipment.

Hi Suzi-

I have a friend that is a Bieber girl; she had her surgery years ago. She mentioned having this same issue and she mentioned that she had been prescribed a low dose of testosterone in an attempt to get things going. I haven't talked to her about it since then to know if it was successful or not, but since testosterone is the sex hormone taking a low dose of it to get things going makes perfect sense to me. I am glad that it is working for you :)

My own libido is completely absent and i'm wondering if the spiro I take has suppressed my testosterone too much.
