Thanks everyone for the perspective. It wasn't really that I intended to go out without a shirt, but that its never been something to be mindful about; if I didn't have a shirt on when I stepped outside, it didn't even occur to me to go put one on. But I admit to scolding my kid when she wanders the house shirtless (I scold gently, I'm not attempting to build neurotic, just a bit of modesty...) I probably should apply the same standard to myself at this point, I shouldn't assert exceptions for my own convenience.
