I haven't posted on here very much, but I wanted to share an interesting experience I had this morning. I woke up with the strangest feeling and thought I would share it here to see if anyone has had any similar experiences. So, this morning, as I was just coming out of a deep sleep, I got a feeling like my genitals were gone, like what I would imagine it to feel like waking up after SRS/GRS. Now, I am probably strange in the fact that I've imagined what it would be like and how everything would feel after grs, but today was different. When I woke up, it felt like it had actually happened. For just a minute, my brain could not register any feeling down there than what I imagine it would be like to feel 'flat'. It was a brief moment of euphoria, but of course, when I reached down and felt what was definitely not flat, all feeling came back and the moment was gone. It wasn't like a 'fantasy' or anything, it was more like I was experiencing some backwards phantom limb type sensation. It intrigued me, to say the very least. Has anyone else ever felt this or know anything about something like this, especially in other trans women(or the reverse in trans men)?

I am a long time post surgical and never been sexually active, but because pretty much all of the important nerves are retained, I have woke up in a wet dream. I haven't tested my equipment post surgical so my brain associates those sensations as coming from the original equipment leading to a bit of confusion when I am first waking up. Needless to say, I am happy to find everything the way it was when I went to bed.

I'd love to say that it's rare, but fortunately, it's really quite common as far as I can tell... Heck, even I get it, and I'm not all woman (I'm a demigirl).

i have also found that specific personal arrangement of my outie, can help put sensation closer to where my brain thinks it should be, and can help quieten down dear old dysphoria for me.

Welcome on your journey of discovery

I often have a "phantom vagina" (or phantom vulva, depending on where the feeling is focused...inside or the outside).

I am pre-op for now, but hoping it's at least as good as I imagine...but will accept a good recovery first, and work on the feels afterward.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...
