So we all have breast buds from hormones but I'm not sure what they are exactly? Are they to store estrogen or spread the breast tissue? Someone told me that's where the estrogen is stored but to me it doesn't make sense because the estrogen pill is absorbed into blood stream. I'm asking because I got a breast aug last month through areola I can't feel my buds anymore so I wonder if it will effect how my body takes estrogen if that makes sense?

I think they are merely the beginings of breasts, they grew because of estrogen, and they then spread and become the whole breast, i take it the bud is the glandular part of the breast... though I'm not sure of any of that. Just thinking logicaly

"Breast Buds" are the development of milk ducts. No estrogen storage there... they do store power over men. Lol... no just milk ducts and fat.

Milk ducts contain estrogen receptors that react to estrogen.

I believe the breast bud is the initial development of acinar lobule- F in the diagram. They are originally sweat ducts that form into ducts for lactating. Then they are surrounded by adipose tissue (basically fatty tissue).

Please feel free to correct me if my generalizations are off base. There are many articles that track the development of breasts, then very detailed medical terms. You can find them using general searches. Estrogen is a sex hormone that triggers different functions in the body(like growth of secondary sex characteristics-breast buds and growing breasts).
