I am looking for a good resource for vintage-style bullet bras -- you know, those one that women wore in the 40s and 50s that gave really great 'projection' under sweater. Obviously I want one for myself, but also for my wife, cause we do like to match sometimes.

Can anyone help?

I just brought up 335 listings on eBay with a "bullet bra" search. I'm sure there must be some manufacturers doing some bras called bullet bras currently, but I thing you'll find the best quality with the vintage stuff. I've actually seen old unused stock with the tags still on the on eBay.

You reminded me that I've been meaning to pick one up for a long time. I'd love to have one of the classic ones with the circular stitches. You may have to watch the listings for a few weeks to find the size and style you want, but I think the Bay's a good place to start.

You might want to try the Bali style 0180 "flower" bra.  It is not the classical bullet but much pointier with more of a 60's projected appearance than current molded styles or multiple segment cup designs.  Bali has been making this for a very long time and it continues to be one of their staples in their product line.  You can usually find these on Ebay at very reasonable price new.

The three on-line stores below sell bullet bras. I really love the look of bullet bras but right not none fit. Some day though.

Nice finds, there, Heather. What Katie Did is awesome. Their bullets don't come cheap, but they appear to be made exactly in the classic 1950s style. I notice they have a store in LA. I may have to drop in the next time I'm out that way.
