Sorry, but can I get some opinions pls? Tried my hair a different way plus got some new glasses...

Both have newer image on the right hand side of the pair. I'm hoping I pass better with this hair/specs combo(!).
Picture | Masculinity Level (1=least, 4=most masculine)( |
Picture1 (previous hair, old glasses): | maculinity level 2 (almost ties with Picture2 but glasses pull both Picture2 and Picture4 into top spots.) |
Picture2 (previous hair, new glasses): | masculinity level 4 (most masculine). |
Picture3 (new hair, old glasses): | masculinity level 1 ("least" masculine but that's splitting hairs because you're still passing). |
Picture4 (new hair, new glasses): | masculinity level 3 (next most masculine). |
Possibly some helpful context: I got up really early this morning, barely had a cup of a coffee, so was not paying attention to the topic context of FTM. Also didn't take note of "ftm" in your user name. Your post doesn't mention "pass as male" just "pass" ... so I clicked on the images expecting to see how well a new hairdo and glasses affected an MTF (I'm MTF so my robotic morning thinking was reading from an MTF perspective). The images opened up and I was like thinking "Bloke!... this guy is not passing to me."

Well, I reread your post and look carefully at the topic of FTM and woke up... you are passing generally and the glasses do help...
That experience mine validates my more calculated nonspontaneous consideration henceforth... that you are looking very much like a guy in all the pictures, and the old hairstyle looks more masculine to me only in the way men can be clean cut... where cleaner cut might, if splitting hairs, be considered more feminine generally speaking. For example, a cleaner cut man may look more "boyish" than one with messier hair, grungier looking.
That's sort of what I see, your older style is grungier so it plays in a more masculine direction, but the glasses sort of swing it back for the cleaner cut style.
However, if you want to go out on a nice date, where your style and the other person's style is one which might demand of you a more shored up "cleaner cut" look—people differ so this may not be you or, say, a date... I speak generally here—then I don't think you want grungier as a masculinizing factor at the sake of not fitting your date... cleaner cut might be more desired in that case. I say date, but same goes for, say, a business meeting... your newer look is more business appropriate... but really the older pictures would be fine if you worked in, say, tech.
In this sense, I see your new glasses has helping tame that cleaner cut look. But I've seen blokes who look just like Picture3 (least masculine... in my day, we might have said "preppy") so you're doing really well even there.
Congrats on the new look(s)!
