I guess one of my questions is what kind of depth is average? And whats common?
As far as diameter.... I would assume "average" as well

While dilating, whats the pain level?
Does it go back or does the depth/diameter stay...
anyone have any "contractability/squeezability" in the new "space"
does it lubricate?

thank you so much for the answers to my curiosity :-X

The quick answer is about 5.5 inches, but there is a large range of results. Individual anatomy and surgeon skill are the most important factors in your results. As for diameter, about 1.5 inches is common.

Pain with dilation is variable. Some girls hate dilating and others have no problem with it. The longer you are post op, the less you need to dilate, but occasional dilation and lubrication is continuously needed.

I would like to give you more specific answers, but almost every post about surgical results ends with YMMV.

Yeah, it varies by person. I do hear that 5-6" of depth is typical, but even that varies a lot.

I got 5.5" and width is somewhat above average for a cis woman. (As a rule of thumb, the green Soul Source dilator is about average width for a cis woman, and the orange one is a bit bigger.)

I've never had any significant pain while dilating; not even the first time, although at that point I was on pain meds (for catheter trouble, not even the surgery itself!). The worst it's ever been has been sort of a sharp pinch that subsides in a second or two. I'd feel silly even rating that on the 1-10 pain scale.

I'm not sure what you mean by "go back." The vagina itself does tighten in on itself when not in use - which is also normal in cis women - so it's not a gaping hole or anything. In terms of dilation, depth can be lost permanently; width can be lost temporarily.

I can definitely squeeze things out or clamp down on something, and I'm fairly sure that's true across all types of GRS (unlike the other answers), because the muscles that surround the vagina are the same ones as in cis women. There's really only one good place to put the vagina, regardless of how it's created and from what, so those muscles will always be there. This is also why the vagina doesn't gape open; when left alone, those muscles tend to tighten up, even though dilation can convince them to stretch.

I do self-lubricate to some degree, including that I get more wet if I'm aroused or penetrated. I've never been with a guy, so no idea whether this would be "enough" for that.

thanks for info, I just saw on facebook one of my friends put up a video of a guy with a healthy size penis , he's into guys, the thing is what happens if you have 5.5 inch depth and someone with an extra long one gets into you new vagina. I'm not trying to be funny I just wonder if care needs to be taken.

You need as much as 2 inches to reach the opening so length isn't normally a problem. However if it is and the man isn't careful, it will hurt. There are rings on the internet that CIS couple use to limit the penetration but normally the guy will know if there is a problem and should act in a gentlemanly way.

Yeah, what Dena said about not being able to get the whole thing in there (bodies get in the way), and it might even hurt less than for a cis woman - my wife always yowled if I hit her cervix, but the trans vagina doesn't end in a really sensitive part that hates being jabbed. :) It doesn't hurt with my dilators, anyway, not even if I put a fair amount of pressure on it; just feels like pressure and "no more will fit."
