Hi and welcome. I'm sorry your're having this horrible problem. With Finasteride, Dutasteride (Avodart) and Minoxidil it can take quite some time 6-12 months before you can start to see benefits, you have to stick with them. They can also sometimes cause some initial temporary loss in early use. Even using these drugs, you will still see normal shedding of hair, but over time the overall loss will hopefully stop for you. I've been using Finasteride for 2 years now, it's not given me much regrowth, but I feel it's stopped further loss. Good luck.

Actually minoxil was effective at beginning times however for the last two months hair loss has increaset.İ dont understand what's happening.Im taking dutasteride for 1.5 - 2 months but it's not working. Dutasteride is more powerful than finasteride isnt it ? why do ı take although I using testo blocker ? I dont unterstand .   how do you think i should do it?

You could get your T and DHT levels checked by your doctor. Otherwise the cause could be totally separate, like stress?

Direnorcan,

For what it's worth, I've not seen any reports of Finasteride or Dutasteride causing additional hair loss, although it may apparently take some time to see a tangible increase.

From what I have read, these anti androgens may initially cause some shedding which—if I remember correctly—is caused by hairs at the very end of their growth cycle falling off a bit early. At the same time more follicles become active and stay active longer.

I do hope you'll see improvement soon.

Please also be aware that hair loss can occur for a variety of reasons.
If the problem persists, it might be worth getting your thyroid function checked by your local doctor.
