Been on HRT just under a month. While reading site like ->-bleeped-<- and some others, people sharing their dosages and I'm amazed the differences in starting dosages. I'm on Spiro and Estradiol. While my Estradiol dose is fairly common, my Spiro dose is sometimes 4 times higher than others starting out. Sounds like there really is no standard of dosing. Oddly I asked to start out on a low dose. I don't mind the changes that have happened already, and will probably not ask to up my dosage at my 3 month, but just kind of shocked me overall

One of the reasons for not discussing dosage on this site is because it isn't consistent. If you have liver issues, your dosage will be very restricted. If your T levels are very low, you might need little or no blocker. If your goals are a slow transition, your dosage may be restricted. If you are in good health and full steam ahead, your dosage will be way up there. Editing posts, I have some people under Endo care receiving twice the normal dosage in order to reach the proper test levels. The only way to know what your dosage should be is from feed back from your test results.

As a side note, when I transitioned, we received a fixed dosage and levels were never checked. As the result, my body development was minimal. I never developed more than an A cup and the only feminine shape I had was because even as a male my hips were larger than normal. This time around, I am on half a transition dosage and my body is developing well beyond what it did before. Because of the medication I received, I suspect most of the time my estradiol levels were 15-20 pg/ml at best which is almost non existence.

Yes dosages are all over the place but with the results from your tests, you will know if you are receiving the treatment that you expect.
