In addition to fish oil which definitely makes sense, i would add that the vitamin Biotin is supposed to aid in hair growth and quality.
Yes, I have heard that too. Biotin is supposedly helpful in helping hair grow faster and stronger. It also makes your nails (fingernails) more resilient.
I tried biotin myself for a while, but I didn't really notice a difference in how fast my hair was growing on my head. What I DID notice was that my facial hair seemed to be growing back faster! I was and am still doing laser hair removal, and it almost seemed counter-productive to me to keep doing both laser and biotin. So I stopped taking biotin. I don't think it's worth it. To me, it's more important to have less facial hair than to have more head hair.
Fish oil is good though! I take it every day. Most Americans don't eat enough fish (too expensive, or live too far away from the coastal areas). Fish oil caplets are a great way to get those Omega-3 fatty acids, which have been clinically proven to have many health benefits.
It can also help to take a multi-vitamin every day. It's difficult to get every vitamin and nutrient from food alone. So, taking a multi-vitamin such as Centrum can help fill in those dietary gaps. (Centrum happens to have a tiny bit of biotin in it too, but nothing like the 5000% daily value you get from biotin supplements)
So my advice - just eat healthy. And take a multi-vitamin and a fish oil caplet once a day to make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need. Your hair will grow and be healthy if you yourself are healthy and take care of yourself.
