I sleep on the left and slobber all over my pillow. It's not pretty.

I have a huge bed, but I stay perfectly on "my" side. When I'm with someone we usually end up rotating depending on who was the last one to get out of the bed (or back in I suppose?). I'm ambidextrous to some extent so I'm happy either way, able to get comfortable on either side, and being next to the wall or not doesn't really matter to me.

Being the little spoon is fricking amazing though, so whichever side that requires :p

All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

I like BOTH sides of the bed, but my S.O. always wants the left side for some reason. To make up for it after he gets up early I'll commandeer the left side for a couple of hours.

The side that is closest to the wall... seriously, anything else makes me fear falling out of the bed :D

The right....my 2 cats have claimed the left

There IS no side to it.  It's a travel trailer sofa, about 20 inches wide...  I sleep on both sides at night and almost never sleep on my back.

Floor, with an impromptu traditional futon setup.  Actually thought about buying the real deal and shipping it from Japan, but its kinda expensive, and my setup works fine.   My original suggestion of putting a piece of plywood on the kingsize bed went over poorly with the other occupant.

I just snuggle up to the wall if ther is one :3 as tight as I can.

If I'm laying the bed, I sleep on the right side which is against the wall. I'm paranoid about dropping my computer off the bed, so the further from the edge the better (they've been dropped multiple times). I also have dreams I'm fall off a cliff sometimes, and usually wake up almost falling off the bed.
If my cat decides to sleep with me though, I have to move more towards the middle as she likes the wall best. :)

After dealing with home invasion and fire situations and waking up to an SO hoovering over me with a butcher knife I tend to prefer sleeping alone

I tend to sleep on the side closest to my bedroom door, never place myself against a wall and there is always a fight or flight plan in place complete with at least one escape route

I've lived in some major cities and thought that moving to what I considered a nice small town would be a bit safer, I fear that I may have possibly been mistaken about that idea

always the side closest to the door (door 3/4 closed). and i sleep with keys next to my bed.. a couple of hefty items (and a thick wollie towel in the bottom draw) to chuck thru a window in case the fire alarm wakes me up and i cant make it down the hallway.. and the bed is allways on the widest wall in the middle.

if i am with someone, nothing like being held.. nothing, i sleep well that way..

on my own, always have to fall asleep on my stomach (been doing since birth, couldnt breath otherwise  [was 2months prem]), tho i am teaching myself to fall asleep on my back..

also i can only sleep on extended queens or extended king size beds.. i am too tall

i can understand that, but then it was explained to me... many times in my life growing up....

Mom "when you sleep on the couch do you fall off?"
me "no"
mom "you know the size of the bed.., your brain knows and you wont fall off.. and if you do its only ever once and never again.."

truer words never spoken, that night i fell out of my bunk bed from the top bunk.. and was put right back on it (after being calmed down, nothing like a floor rushing to kiss your face to scare the crap out of you, to this day i hate the top bunk and would much rather sleep on the floor.. ;) )

I always get the right side of the bed!  My understanding wife gets the left ;D

Thing is... it doesn't work this way when you share your bed with another guy who may accidentaly push you out of the bed because it's too small ;)

I'm always sleeping on the right side of the bed and by the time i wake up i'm either completely on the other end of the bed or on the floor. ^.^ and if i had a partner then yes, i'd trade sides if they wanted although i'd probably steal the bed and take the blankets while sleeping.

Currently I prefer sleeping on the sofa. Why didn't I realize it was more comfortable than my bed.

Still on the left side though.
