In the months ahead, The Telegraph will introduce its readers to people who say they've shared the same life-defining urge to live as the opposite sex – eventually revealing the secret to the shock of those around them: parents, friends and family, co-workers.

I guess what with the election there come and gone they are looking for other ways to sell papers.

Well, actually there is a vote recount going on here in NH, not that you see much about it in the news!

I'm pleased to see decent coverage about trans issues in the paper and will write them to express that. Unfortunately, they'll likely get plenty of mail from the other side, knowing the way things are up here.

Well the MSM is not covering it, but I get daily updates (including today's announcement that Pay-Pal might have blocked money given for the re-count) on it.  You just need to turn off the bought and paid for media and do your own research.

There are lots of people paying attention, they just don't own papers, or TV stations.

We've been following it on Daily Kos and various other sources. I should have said, the corporate owned mass media hasn't been covering it.

The list of what the corporate media in the US does not cover would take more time than any of us have anymore.

I was approached at my support group about being in the series of articles and because its is such a well known paper around here I refused.  Also Dr. Madden is my GP.

Nothing newsworthy in transgender series

That's so true. Project Censored ( http://www.projectcensored.org/ ) is a great place to go for a bird's-eye view of what didn't make the news or was under-reported. For more up to the minute news, try Alternet, Truthout and Indymedia. Mostly politics, economics and war, but you occasionally find other stories as well.

Yeah, Project Censored is done right down the street here at Sonoma State University.  I also like BlackListed News, Altweeklys.com, and the weblist.net
