I am a retired, accomplished engineer that does not have a clue of how to post a picture to go with my name. I have over a hundred postings or responses and figure that it is past time for folks to see who they are working with. I have a picture on my camera that would be appropriate but have no photo editing software to scale it and I am not aware of the proper way of getting it to the proper place in my profile (if that is the right place). Can anyone offer assistance or better yet, let me email the image and let a competent person do what is needed so that I don't screw up the system? I truly appreciate any assistance.

By the way, I, not long ago traveled the world as a dragon slaying problem solver. This sure is making Anne feel stupid!

As always, there is a trick and once you know it, it's easy. You need to store the image on another server like Photobucket and capture the link. In the case of Photo bucket would be the direct link. You make the post here and include the following for the image link.

If it's a profile pic you're talking about, go Profile/Forum profile then select "Upload an avatar" from the list. It will scale your image for you.

Dena and Devlyn,

Thank you both very much for the assistance. I can drop into Shanghai on short notice and save critical R&D crashes but I am totally flustered when having to deal with the vagaries of new systems. And you made it so easy! - Anne
