So its been 3 weeks I have geen on hrt. The endo gave me estrolgel and Spiro.   I know the spiro is working but how would i know if the estrogel is working. I asked a walk in dr clinic he said its only been 3 weeks and if your endo said there is no need todo blood test then there is no need todo so. The dr said I should do 2 pumps at day and 2 pups at night.   My question is not about dosage.
1.)  My question is would i need to wash off the night residue before applying a new layer in ther morning.
2.) For people who have tried or has been on estrogel does it really work?  (I know it sounds stupid)  Does it really increase your estrogen levels.   I know its a healthier option.  But I really prefer the oral prescription.
Anyone can give me tips and advice?  And how do I tell my endo I want pills instead.? Cuz i only see him like once every 2 months.  If anyone cpuld help that would be great.

Estrogel works, just give it some time. Also slightly safer. If you are not seeing results after a few months, a good doctor should make the necessary adjustments. Good luck. Be patient. :)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

It really works ;D, and application is really easy. You don't need to wash it off; it's absorbed within a few minutes after application. Washing hands after application is a good idea, but after then you can just forget it until the next application. Make sure to read the package information leaflet, but even there, I can't find instructions that you have to wash it off at any time.

I have heard that some people react to it differently, but for me, it works fine.
