Sex Ed: Education or Propaganda?
The last four decades have seen a significant shift in the philosophy behind sex education in America's public schools. Prior to the sexual revolution, human biology and reproduction, hygiene, and marriage were the focus of sex education. In essence, this approach was grounded in particular moral virtues, namely biblical.

If your children are not already same-sex oriented or strongly identify with the gender opposite of their physical sex -- in other words, if they're born straight -- they will stay that way and can't be convinced to be otherwise.

Also, the potential for gay- and trans-bigotry is similarly an innate trait; they will naturally, without prodding, want to harass someone displaying gay or trans tendencies.

Your work is done.  If they're not already born this way, they can't be turned.  Relax.  Chill.

7 percent of the population is oriented towards same-sex.  There is no cure for this. Reparation or Conversion Therapy does not work, the 'successes' are statistically insignificant, and the definition of 'success' is flawed, usually including cowing victims of conversion therapy into being celibate, with a guilt ->-bleeped-<- of "don't think about gay sex."

Two tenths of a percent of the population is transgendered enough they are determined against all odds and all harassment that can be brought to bear against them by passionate, committed gay/trans-phobic bigots to live their lives as the gender their brain tells them they are, not what society, with a quick glance at the crotch at birth, assigns them to be.  And they know this mismatch at a young age.  By age 50, 50 percent of those so blessed or afflicted with this differentness will have attempted suicide.  34 percent who do not transition to their true gender (the opposite of what society says with a quick, furtive glance says they 'should' be,) take their own lives.  The suicide rate for untreated schizophrenia is only 10 percent.

97 percent of your children will grow up to be straight, no matter what you do.  they can't be recruited into becoming a member of the GLBT community.

The other 7 or so percent will turn out gay or lesbian or female-to-male or male-to-female transgendered, no matter what you do.  You can't stop them from being this, you can't cure it, you can only make their lives miserable, and feel good about you and yours that you're so much better than 'them'.

Unless of course, one of yours one day screws up their courage against all the hatred, comes to you and says, "Dad, I'm gay...", or, "Dad, I'm trans..."
