So another post on here made me decidedly curious, what do you feel or see when youre dreaming? What gender are you in there, what parts do you have, etc.?

This is probably the most interesting tell of what your unconscious mind feels yourself as, since youre not actively having suggestions or placing your conscious thoughts in there, your mind goes by what it knows, I guess. Whether its how you physically look, mentally feel, and the like. This doesnt necessarily mean that what you see in your dream is you, just a representation of you you're used to. Still...its curious to know how you work internally.

For me, my dreams have always felt agender, I was myself and nothing more. I dreamed of my body having certain traits they already have sometimes, but it still meant nothing. Anyways, on many random occassions before/during transitioned I dreamed of losing parts that I had and gaining parts that were more natural, those ones were interesting, especially since at the time in one or two of them I didnt think I was dreaming, I somehow thought it was real.

I just feel like myself in dreams, with the same identity and characteristics. Pre T I might have occasionly imagined what I would look like on T. On rare occasions I dream I've had top surgery and can see my chest as flat.

I've never really thought about it... I don't really know, I just felt like me. So male, I guess? Everything seems to happen from a first person perspective and I never looked at myself. Apart from maybe that one night a long time ago where I dreamed I was a wolf bran stark confirmed

Depends on my mood.  Most often just like my body actually is, occasionally much more feminine.  But a few nights ago, I dreamed of being a very large, very hairy man, with a very deep voice...I woke up crying.

In most of my dreams, I tend to focus on what is happening instead of what I am at the moment. Whenever it comes up, I'm female, or at the very least others refer to me as such.

Dream self?  My dreams run the gambit of real to weird.  I've been robots, frogs, dragons, and a bunch of stuff besides.  As for the reality type dreams, just me, never see myself, as I never seem to dream a mirror.

I'm agender in dreams.

It's varied. Sometimes it's male, sometimes female. Although usually male.

Rather disturbingly lately, I've had more dreams in which I'm female, and the dreams are unpleasant. Not sure why that is. I suppose gender is on my mind lately. I just started hormones.

I don't have normal dreams I have nightmares some of which are powerful enough to have me throwing myself out of bed. Some nights I don't remember them and simply awake on the side of the bed crying which can be anything from a snivel to a full blown body wracking sobs.

The dreams are always almost the same in theme...they involve me being confined or held down, people threatening my family from simply yelling to all sorts of violent dream acts. They normally finish with me being under some physical threat in order to protect my family. Some I remember (which I could not repeat here) and mercifully some I don't.

When I start this dream gender is not really a feature but by the end I am usually female. When I used to dream before the nightmares I would always be female. But most of the time it was just me....

Honestly ... and perhaps surprisingly ... gender doesn't appear to come up much in my dreams. :(

Also, though, can we include daydreams here? :)

My dreams tend to be genderless.  But last night, for the first time, I had a dream where I was definitely feminine.

Well I had a disgusting dream last night where I looked down at my ankle and there was a growth on it the size of a tennis ball. Eventually the thing burst and... yeah, I don't want to make anyone throw up who might be eating their breakfast, especially if they're eating porridge...

No gender in that dream because I was so disturbed. It didn't even appear to be my body, but more like borrowing someone else's because I wasn't familiar with that ankle.

I have a lot of body horror dreams, sadly, and when those take place, gender doesn't factor into it. At least not yet. Whatever's happening is usually so awful I fail to notice any gender related theme. Another dream some years ago featured razor wire growing out of my face. Again I remember a genderless face then as I tried to snip the wire away with some pliers.
