I hear that electrolysis can destroy hair follicles, would electrocuting yourself have a similar effect?

Why do you always have to be so tragic...anyway, I use Tria beauty and it works everywhere except face..it helps slow down facial hair growth but won't stop it...basically it's a tiny version of what they use in professional environment and it's expensive. It's for home use and it should last at least  couple of years unlike other machines where you have to buy spare parts periodically.

Back to your original question, no, electrocution won't help you get rid of hair. I had one electrocution-like accident once on my hand and hair still grow... Is my answer satisfactory? ☺

I remember seeing it on Amazon and it specifically said not to use it on the face. Testosterone's fault again.
On another, it said the same thing and explained that it might result in skin damage or something.

And then, I looked at the negative reviews with the people who have nasty scars...

Electrolysis involves running a very small needle down the hair follicle to the root and then passing a small current through the needle. If the power level is set to high, it will damage the skin so thats a good reason to have a well trained operator. It's very difficult for one person to self treat all of the face.

Electrocution if you survived it wouldn't kill the hair without taking out massive amounts of skin with it.
