First of all I don't know if this is considered a topic under bottom surgery, but I am definitely all ready to go for a hysterectomy at the end of this year so that's all taken care of.

My concern now is whether or not any of you who have been on T for over a year and have not gotten a hysto suddenly got cramping pains and very small blood spots, and if it should be something that I should take care of now.

I got this bad cramp (similar to pre t cramps) literally the NIGHT before I had my pap smear test less than two weeks ago and thought nothing of it. Then it became apparent that I would sometimes wipe a very small amount of blood at least every other day and brushed it off since I had a pap smear very recently and sometimes getting a pap test causes minor bleeding.

I addressed this to my obgyn while we were talking about scheduling my surgery and she said that it was normal to have these cramps happen once in a while. It was probably my uterus shrinking and it was just letting me know in a painful way.

Now all of a sudden I'm getting more cramps and now wipe away some blood at least once a day.
I'm just so glad that I already have a surgery date scheduled and this could just be one of those "perfect timing" moments.

Since info about transguys getting a hysto is so scarce I was hoping to hear some of your guys' experience and how you took care of it whether you got a hysto or not.

(EDIT: OKAY I just wiped again less than a minute after writing this post and there is a lot more blood on there than there was before. I was experiencing period-like cramps while writing this post and now I'm bleeding more??? I'm emailing my doctor now aaaaaaah)

I am moving this post to Testosterone as this is a common problem asked about in that section. Several FTMs have had this issue as testosterone may not fully shut down all activity even after an extended period of time.

I would have random bouts of small cramping pain. They were much less than period pain, and I never had any bleeding along with them. They typically didn't last long, usually just a few hours to maybe a day at most. From what I've been told, your doctor gave you correct info. As organs shrink and atrophy, it often causes cramping.

I had a hysto as a prerequisite for bottom surgery when I was 14 months on T. I've had no issues since then. There is also a great Facebook group called FTM Hysterectomy where lots of guys have discussed their experiences, asked for/gotten advice, etc. I believe it is searchable, but if you want access and are unable to find it, let me know and I'll see if I can help.

I'm a little over a year on T and honestly, I've experienced nothing.
No cramps, no pain, no bleeding... zilch. It's actually a little odd because I heard that the opposite happened so often that I was prepared for it. At this point, a full hysto may not be something I ever seek out if it continues this way.
That being said, what you're experiencing is normal. I've heard of guys 2-4 years on T that have had cramping and random bouts of bleeding.
