Yes, I know.

This is stupid. I should´ve been more careful binding.

But I wore it too long in a row and I´ve been walking around with a dull ache in my right ribcage (the binder had velcro on that side) for months now.

I went to the doctor and I told her what was up but she thought lightly of it. I had been sick for a while and she concluded it hurt more because I was coughing, even though coughing had nothing to do with it.

I haven´t been able to bind for two weeks (well I chose not to) and used kinesio tape (very small stretches on either side, not all the way around) instead. I have another appointment with the doc on friday but I just wish she would be more concerned with this stuff instead of just shrugging it off.

Sorry. Just venting  >:(

Sorry to hear this :(. My first binder from T Kingdom had velcro and made my ribs ache after just a few hours of use. If you can buy a GC2B binder; doesn't cause me any pain no matter how long I wear it for.

Btw; seems a bit strange a female doctor especially didn't take your rib pain seriously; considering how similarly painful wearing a bra can be.

Get well soon :)

I did the same thing double binding - I wound up with bruises that then turned into pretty disgusting sores. And coughing, a lot of coughing.

Be careful, man. And don't let your doctor dismiss you. They aren't there to do you a favour, they're paid to help keep you healthy.

Thanks guys.

I genuinely hate her right now. I know she means well and I know it´s my own fault but it isn´t the first time she just dismisses me. I don´t know how to communicate this to her without getting roaring angry.

I´ll see her tomorrow. In the meantime I´m trying to relax with is difficult considering everything except sitting still aches :/ blech.
