In the near future, there is this computer program that can simulate reality to pixel perfect. You can feel, see, hear, smell, touch as the person you decide to be; you can be Marilyn Monroe, and no one would blink an eye. And you can talk to the other avatars like normal even if they are from a foreign country, and subtitles will appear at the bottom your vision.

And you found a handsome/beautiful sex or romantic partner, and if you engage in the activity it will like it is actually happening. You could be physically disabled, and regain control of your life again through this game by running, walking, talking again like you never knew before.

And you could eat all the virtual food, and feel the sensations of foods without gaining a pound. And you can live in a mansion, or soak your body in the virtual ocean, and you could be really living in a 5 by 5 closet living on your social security check. Or go to the movies for free instantly, teleporting yourself virtually. Your only limitation would be your imagination.

Would you give up your real life and hope for true love?

Not a chance.

For me, life is about interacting with others, about shared experiences, and about appreciating all that I've been blessed with.  I'm pretty happy with my life now, and wouldn't want to share it with anyone besides the one whom I love and who chose to share my path.

We already live in a virtual reality, but the cubicle isn't 5x5, it's 3 lbs of neurons, and the built-in programming has obviously been corrupted by aeons of incomprehensible neglect.

Hack the system, I says.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

What happens when I take both the blue and red pill?
