I turn 64 tomorrow.  I started on this past June 20.  The difference has been amazing.  I've been fighting depression since I was a teenager and it's just been gone since July.  "Is this what normal people feel like?"

I started at 24, now I'm 26. I'm genderqueer, the strongest push for me to transition was not wanting to grow up as a man (being a 20something androgynous guy was ok for me, but I was very afraid of the future: 30s, 40s before I transitioned).

I'm soon planning to have FFS.

Yeah, I totally get that.  I thought it was some sort of weird drug-induced euphoria.  I told my therapist what I was feeling this, and was surprised as I didn't see this listed as a side effect.

"No, it's not a side effect.  You're feeling normal."

That was an eye-opener, as I hadn't felt like that since childhood. I honestly thought that everyone felt as badly as I did, and I was just worse at coping with what I thought was 'normal'.

Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Same here, except as a girl and not genderqueer.   Being a 20 something androgynous guy was ok but 30 isn't that far away and there is no way I can survive into my 30s as a dude.

30s. I just started.

Although I'm not treated like someone in their 30s as I look younger. I spent a lot of time trying to prove myself but getting nowhere. It's not until now I appreciate the advantage of having some time and experience under your belt that nobody suspects you have, lol. That attitude towards me may or may not change with transition. Either way, I know I'll land on my feet, I always do.

I'm 23.  I haven't started HRT yet, because I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want for myself, and I just moved in October to start a new job, and so I need to find doctors and whatnot (which is a bit intimidating in my overwhelmingly conservative state).
