Hi,

I've just joined, I would like to introduce myself.

I transitioned 20 years ago (M2F) in my 20's; since then I haven't had much to do with a TG community. As I get older I think it's time for me enjoy my identity and be who I am. And get some advice on where to buy good stents :-)

I had sigmoid surgery and it was bad. 5 surgeries due to problems and I still have issues. My surgeon is a @#@%!! and wish I hadn't chosen him; but back when I was transitioning we didn't have the internet and it was hard to get advice and information.

Life lessons learned: transitioning costs a lot of money - getting qualified for a well paying job is important. Get a fashion advisor to help you with clothes, they can help you buy stuff that works with our (different) body shape and in the long run save you money. Be *really* sure why you're transitioning - it's a hard road; it's not a magic wand that will make everything wonderful.

Welcome to Susan's Place. Another old timer is always welcome as many leave the site shortly after their transition. As for stents, I am not exactly sure what you are after. The first link is what I used for a short time after my surgery  and then I went to a dirty book store and bought my friend and companion that I have used to dilate with for many years. The second link is a common source of dilators that are used by many surgeons. Clear plastic dilators are available but they run about $80 a piece. Let me know if this isn't what you are after.

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS
