Cindy's Christmas Best Wishes

Cindy

Christmas approaches with great speed. In Australia as I post it is 10 am on Friday 23 December and I'm reminded that I have 5 relatives coming for lunch on Christmas Day and I'd better get the place ready.

As you shiver in the Frozen North it is 37C  (99F) today with 40C (104F) forecast for Christmas Day - and Australians still send each other Christmas cards with snow scenes on them - go figure

I have my wife in her wheelchair, my mother in law in her wheel chair, two sister in law and a brother in law coming for Christmas Day.

It will be fun, I'm doing the cooking, my BIL will do the driving collecting the wheelchair passengers. One SIL will (hopefully) keep be lubricated with Champagne, the other will get in the way. Such is family.

There where times this year when sharing Christmas seemed a hope too far away. But I don't give up that easily.

Of course I have two Families and both are very dear to me. My Susan Family is always on my mind, particularly at festive family times and many members will be alone and sad, dealing with the horrible consequences that many of us carry.

But we will be here for you over Christmas. One advantage of time zones is that the Aussies are done and dusted while the Northerners are dealing with the day. So I will be around most of the time and the GM's will be on as they can and still getting some time off.

I cannot thank the Global Moderators enough. They keep the site safe and protect you from all sorts of spam posts, defuse arguments, deal with some really nasty people and help those of us who are having a bad time and need a friend to talk too.

I will single out a few GM's who have really gone to great lengths to keep the site going;

The Doesn't She Ever Sleep Award: Dena.
What can I say! Except thank you for your dedication and hard work. Thank you for your kindness and help to me when I was struggling.

The I'll Keep Working in the Face of Any Adversity Award: Mariah and VM
Mariah: For keeping going while dealing with personal and family situations that would break many people.
V M: The inventor of the Frankenputer that she built when her laptop was hacked and destroyed, and then, when the internet kept going down, cycling to the local library so she could log on from there. All of this while struggling with her personal issues that are again more than most could cope with.

Of course all of the staff are wonderful and put in a lot of work to keep the place going and I thank every one of you.

My Best Wishes to All

Love

A very heartfelt Merry Christmas to you Cindy and all the mods. You all do a fantastic job.  This place is very special and that is due to the Susan's team.

I hope everyone has a safe, happy and restful Christmas. If it gets cold out, please stay warm. As it is summer here and as Cindy said, a touch on the warm side, I will be floating in the pool!  But before I do that, as it is Christmas, I will spend today running round like a blue-arsed fly getting things ready!

Merry Christmas everyone.

Love Emma
