Anybody else notice this?
So I've been on HRT for 7 months and today I noticed that rings that used to fit on my ring finger pre-HRT now fit on my index finger.  Yay.  My hands are becoming more graceful.

Also, my shoes seem to fit better.

Cartilage/bone shrinking would personally worry me since enough estrogen should maintain (even increase) bone mass. If, on the other hand, this is due to less water retention, caused by spironolactone, then great!

I hope that happens to me as well.

Could also be weight loss.  My feet are definitely smaller by one shoe size, but I also lost 40 pounds.  Been on HRT for a little over 3 months, about the same time I lost the weight, so I'm not sure if HRT contributed any.

Male hands can be quite large due to musculature. A friend of mine who works on a farm has monster hands due to all the manual work he does. Being on HRT will reduce the muscles in your hands and around your fingers, plus if there is any associated weight loss you might notice quite a difference. Not always the case with everyone so your milage may vary.

There are no muscles in and around the fingers (where she noticed the changes), but in the remaining part of the hand, yes.

Never thought of that. Definitely something I'll bring up at my next HRT appointment in about 4 months.  And I do notice that it is different early in the mornings (more difficult to put on my rings). I just chalked that up to getting old and swollen joints.

My rings fit differently depending on the weather condions eg - hot or cold, so that could be part of the reason, I got my ones fitted in thialand and being hot and humid at the time they fitted perfectly, but in winter here they get really sloppy and need re adjusting or rolling back around.....
Another reason maybe your've lost weight since they were fitted...

Yes, definitely. Fat distribution occurs when you're on estrogen and hands can noticeably become slimmer and more graceful. Other areas to lose fat include the face, whereas as we know hips and buttocks typically see fat increase.

This has full scientific backing regardless of whether someone now posts a series of selected links attempting to suggest otherwise. Fat retribution is a well-known side effect of the hormonal change.

Actually, I find that often, fat deposition increases in certain areas of the face, making the face look softer, rounder and increasingly feminine in contrast to how angular it looks in men and older women who have lower estrogen. I remember when my hormones were very low, my face was becoming sunken and upon increasing doses and concentrations, my face filled up. I believe Dena also reported the same happening to her.

I haven't noticed HRT changing my ring size, but I did notice rings fitting looser when I lost weight.

I gained fat on my face too, particularly on my cheeks.  My hands and feet remain unchanged though.
