Possibly triggering downstairs growth topic (questions)

I'm one week on T, just received my second shot this morning. I have a few questions that may be triggering for some, so if you'd rather not read a TMI-type post, scroll past this one ;)

I've heard a lot of stories about downstairs growth and want to clear up a few points. I realize everyone's biology is different, and thus care methods may vary. Still I'd like to get some idea of what to expect here.

How quickly has this started (rough timeline)? I suspect it has to be several months in.

What are some affordable (and easy to find) creams that would help relieve the sensations that come with it?

Those two things are the main ones I've been wondering about. I have a clear picture of what it's gonna look like, and I'm not too worried about the growth process itself, just want to make sure I set everything in place so that it's a smooth aspect of the transition along with everything else.

Thanks in advance :P

I honestly haven't had any sensations along with the growth but I have used Lanacaine in the past for cuts and such there.

Mine started within my first week on T. Stats say growth maxes out at 2 years on T, but I have heard stories from folks that they've gotten growth beyond that point.

Mine was more sensitive but not painful. What kind of sensations are you trying to get rid of? If it's rubbing and you don't like it, you may need to wear looser clothes. If it's overly sensitive, you could try Orajel/Anbesol. I have read stories of guys who suffer from premature ejaculation using it with success to desensitize their dicks. I don't know how long it would last, but it's about the cheapest thing I can think of to try.

For most they start feeling and seeing changes in the first week or so, depending on the dosage.  I wear boxers so nothing rubbing near it.

It will start to feel different. Give it a month and it won't feel so weird.

It is, often, the very first discernible change. Within the first week for me (though I was then, the initial four months or so, on a ridiculously high dose - twice more than I ought to have been - so YMMV). And growth, I can attest, continues well beyond 2 years. True, not as quickly as the initial year or so, but it definitely continues.

There will likely be occasional... "soreness" I suppose (kind of like a really light bruise, best I can describe it), at least true for me, but nothing remotely unbearable. It should enlarge quite a lot in a relatively short span of time initially, so that's why.

But yes, DO find some comfortable, soft-fabric underwear (whatever the cut, doesn't really matter). I'm a boxer-brief's guy. I like Champion, basically "fancier" Hanes, best. Breezy, and a hell of a lot softer than their typical stuff at Walmart etc. all.

Otherwise, prepare to be 'inappropriately' aroused, often... a pressure-feeling (and indeed, it can get fairly uncomfortable), which might go away without "help" or may not... no 'cream' for that... and on that note, welcome to male adolescence. =P

For me it started when I upped to normal dose androgel. (third week of being on T).
At first I was quite worried because nothing was happening.

I guess you could use lidocaine (prescription probably) but I wouldn´t say the sensations are so painful or strong that you would need any type of creams. It´s just weird at the beginning but it will get less sensitive.

I can honestly say that I never felt any pain while it was starting to grow. What I did feel, however, were -extremely- intense feelings of horniness that were so distracting I could barely focus on anything else. Every time I would shift a certain way/stand a certain way/wake up, it would feel stupidly good and trigger these strong waves of urgency.
It was annoying, to say the least. The edge has been taken off as of the last 3-4 months, but that initial segment was rough.

We are not use feeling are underware touching something down there.  It is just a new feeling we will get use too. Guy are born with external junk and growup with it, especially at puberty I guess.

It probably more noticeable for us and men who are circumcised. That sort of tissue is not the type that is designed to be exposed to the elements, and if it is will become keratinized over time (and then will be less sensitive I guess).

I've actually had some occasional painful twinges from mine. But they're brief, and don't last long. Otherwise the sensations have been pretty good - if bothersome at inconvenient at times.

Two month in and I am not noticing any real changes in terms of growth. Hornier than hell but nothing really going on down there. i guess everyone responds differently, mst of my changes have been in the hair department, facial and body already coming in. Should i be concerned?

Lots of people say T seems to work in episodes. No growth for a bit, then suddenly goes for it.... then repeats. Enough people have said it - and I read info about male puberty in general that suggests periodic growth spurts too - for me to think continuous steady growth might be the more unusual case here.

Which is what I seem to be having. It could be because I had a deactivated female reproductive system when I started. Low T, low E, no cycles... it's not 'cause I'm old, but because I 'abused' norithesterone to that point. Maybe that's why my junk responded like that to the first hint of sex hormone there was coming in. Although I don't know for sure.

Maybe people with normal cycles experience female cycle sort of "competing" with the male hormone levels or something, slowing growth down a bit. We know that cycles try their best to continue for a while under T, but eventually are deactivated. Possibly someone else here knows what's going on.

My hair growth is what's slow. Maybe I'm not a naturally body-hairy person. I can see the beginnings of my happy trail, but it's almost invisible.
