Hey all! so today im going to make a different post from many others i have in the past. Namley because i have some news. I have decided to say i am offically re-starting my transition to woman full time!!!!! The past three weeks have been the best in a long long time and thats because i havent given ''him'' a chance to live. I went from girl to andro and know where i wana be and am! i am greatful on this Christmas that i have Susans and all the amazing people here who have helped me on the hardest and most amazing journey in my life. I am greatful for my family and personal friends and just being a live. What are you thankful for ?

I'm back. That and I have a son soon getting married and a couple new grandkids to look forward to.

Then I'm grateful for knowing you're making a step to being true to yourself; I can only be the when everyone can be whole.

In my own life I've been able to do some fun work this week and just now I'm getting to hang out with my daughters amidst cooking and right now taking in a film.

I'm thankful that 100% of the people I'm out to (about 70 or 80) are all "cool" with it.  No one has rejected or worse what I'm doing.  The closest is my 85yo parents not believing I'm trans.  That's okay.  They get a pass, they're old and don't understand [big] change.

I'm also thankful that my mental state is really good and that I'm mentally progressing towards full-time.

I'm alive to see my family on Christmas Day. There was a good chance I would not be earlier this year!

I woke up, I am alive, after that it is all gravy.....I can remember a time when this was not guaranteed 

I'm thankful for all the opportunities I've had and been able to take. This year has been kind in many ways.

• I'm thankful to have a supportive wife.
• I'm thankful that I have finally accepted myself
• I'm thankful to have a roof over my head, food in my belly, transportation and all of that good stuff
• I'm thankful for this forum, and the members that grace it
• I'm thankful for this rum 

I have a lot to be thankful for, in the grand scheme of things, it could be a lot worst and I never forget that. 

I'm thankful I'm living in southern Thailand and can drive my motorbike to the beach to celebrate Christmas..which is TODAY (Thai time).

I cover myself in layers of clothing for swimming for several reasons..

1. to avoid sand burn when waves throw me up on the beach
2. to avoid jelly fish stings
3. to avoid offending people since half the population here is Muslim, the other half is Buddhist. Both religions are very conservative

But I was born in the West Indies of American parents, commuted back and forth for awhile, then moved to the US to attend university, and have also taught at a college in Mexico in 2001, taught in Thailand since 2010.

I am thankful for the friends of my bestie, who accept me as I am and don't regard me as a guy in a dress. It embarrases me to admit that they seem to be more open than I am. I mean, they accept me as one more girl in the group, however I can't help thinking that they know the truth about me... and I feel I'm the one keeping some distance between me and them.

I am thankful for my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law, the most amazing and accepting folks I have met in my journey outside of my son and older daughter.

They had me over for Christmas Eve dinner, and surprised me with some presents, a 'message' necklace with a medallion reading she believed she could so she did, a lovely scarf, and a turtleneck top.  Somebody has been watching my presentation and taking notes...

I'm thankful for my son, who was here overnight and spent much of the day with me.  I'm thankful for my distant daughter, 3000 miles away, who has been in touch and wishing me well.  I'm thankful for their thoughtful gifts, of course.

I'm thankful that I chose life.  It has turned out to be better than I could have imagined earlier this year.

I'm very thankful for two of my great friends, one that I've known for 32 years and the other - his partner - who I've known since 1999. They knew that, apart from my mother, that my family is not particularly accepting of me since my transition and that my sister would be having the family Xmas lunch at her place without inviting me (three years in a row now). So they invited me to spend the day with them and their family instead. And I have to say it was a great day. I was  accepted and included and after lunch the women and girls - from age 80+ to 8 sat around and chatted and played a board game. It feels sad to say it, but it's actually been one of the best Xmas days I've had in many years, even from before I was persona non grata at my sister's.

That's so sweet, and encouraging to know such people can exist in families!

I am thankful, above all, for my lovely, understanding wife, who has been solidly behind me from the moment I first came out to her.  I am thankful for food on the table and a roof over my head.  Not everyone has those.

And I am thankful for my friends, in real life and here on Susan's, who have stood by me.  The year ahead will probably be the most "interesting" year of my life.  Having friends for support is priceless.
