I drove from Sydney to Melbourne on Friday and spent Christmas Day with my sister, my parents and my nephew. I am very fortunate to have a family that love me just as I am. My adorable three year old nephew enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper and the boxes more than the fancy presents that he received !

I talked to my new boyfriend for a while, and then rang some of my friends who I know are alone or doing it tough this Christmas.

Then Dad and I got the kayaks out and paddled out in Port Phillip Bay late in the afternoon. We anchored our kayaks and watched the sunset together over a cold drink.

Hope you are all having a relaxing break away from the stress of being Australian and transgender.

I'm taking it easy this year...recovering from GRS four weeks ago today (an early Xmas present to myself!)

Yesterday I had lunch with a friend's family as they are more accepting of me than most in my actual family. Spent the day with my mother today. All up a pleasant couple of days.

Congratulations Grace! How are you feeling? An early Christmas present indeed! Where did you travel to?

I'm in Kingaroy over Christmas visiting our daughter, who is pregnant with what will be our first grandchild.

While in Qld i'll also be seeing my parents for the first time as Dana. They seem to be slowly coming around to accepting me, so i'm hoping that goes well.
