Hello! I know/read that HRT can cause the bladder to shrink as women usually have smaller bladders and such and up course with spironolactone having to pee more often as well but what I seem to have been experiencing since about late June is that most days it always feels like I have to go even when my bladder is nearly empty, a constant persistent leaking feeling where it always feels like a drop or two is trying to escape. I've been lining my underwear with a piece of toilet paper most days (probably should invest in some actual liners for authentic feelings haha) I'm just wondering is this completely normal/a side effect of a smaller bladder? I'm 25 so I doubt it's an age thing just curious if it's normal. Thanks!

I never experienced this, after 12 yrs of HRT, but read it might sometimes be a result of too little sex hormones and can happen in post-menopausal women. Who knows? Best to discuss with your doctors and perhaps a urologist. They will be better positioned to answer you. Best of luck. :)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

It's something you should have checked out because you have described two of the symptoms of a urinary track infection. They are not as common with the longer urinary track but they can happen and if you tuck with moisture accumulation, it makes it more likely as well. They will need to take a sample so plan on being able to make a contribution for them to test.

Thanks for the replies! I haven't tucked at all yet though will look into it soon as my full time starts this friday but it's just really weird as most of the time it feels like a drop or two is leaking but when I check it's mostly always dry. My urine is almost always clear as I make sure to stay properly hydrated so I haven't really noticed any strong smells but I see my PCP/Endo in 2.5 weeks so I'll be sure to bring it up with him to see what he thinks and if he wants to do any tests.

I had something similar-ish while adjusting to a new dose of my meds.  Generally leaky feeling and actual dribble after urinating.  I have never felt like spiro makes me go more (I am on about the max of what I might call a "low dose"), I already had a small bladder and drink LOTS of water.  Generally those "issues" even out for me in 2-3 weeks from an adjustment in dosage...I would reiterate the above chat with your Dr.
