So this topic I saw from approx 1.5 yrs ago.  Seems like people are having a hard time understanding a man wishing to change genitalia and identifying as a man rather than someone as MTF.  We accept in particular Trans woman with male genitalia, still seen as a woman and accepted as such. Also some trans men do not bother with bottom surgery but still identify as a man, and are accepted as such.  Therefore why can't a man have vaginoplasty and still identify as a man?

I started the process to transition to eunuch several years ago. Took some feminization drugs started to develop breasts but mostly interested destroying my sex drive. Took both cyproterone, spironolactone as chemical castration drugs. Mostly asexual now.  My 'junk' is something I always hated - even got my letter to have an orchiectomy by Dr Bowers, but chickened out.

Now a few years latter the testicles are small hard olives. The scrotum hangs loosely and the penis has shrunk considerably.  I see nothing wrong with wanting a vaginoplasty and still live as a man.  But it seems everybody - health care providers too - lose their ->-bleeped-<- over this and expect people to live in the other gender before requesting bottom surgery - but i don't want to live as a woman.

So thought i would toss that hand grenade out there to see if anyone wants to take a stab at why what i want is all that bad, and why can't i get it done.

PS I could have the testicles removed - but they now reside up in the body after numerous alcohol injections which both shrunk the nuts and the cords too.  So never see them any more.

From an aesthetic perspective i would rather have a beautiful vagina - even one with very little depth than getting a penectomy.

Looking forward to responses, thanks.

Welcome to Susan's Place, Hogger! Labels are overrated. I live as a complex mixture of man and woman that has no label. Sounds like you might, too.  :)  See you around the site!

Hugs, Devlyn

There's no inherent reason why you can't, it's just that they usually require real life experience as a woman before they'll go ahead with it.

You should discuss HRT (either T or E) with your doctor for health purposes.

I would guess those who make up WPATH 7 are making the guidelines based on a binary perspective. That is my guess. I have several non-binary friends from group. I have learned a lot from them.

Welcome to Susan's Place. You are not the first on the forum to express this desire but it is relatively rare. There are surgeon who would agree to do this type of surgery but they are few in number. Even therapist might be a little difficult to find but as people are learning about the non binary, more are becoming knowledgable in that area.

As for the forum, what you desire is acceptable and anybody who attacks you will be subject to moderation actions. TOS 9 and 10 protect your right to express yourself here so feel free to ask any questions you might have.

I was interested in doing this a few years ago so I spent a lot of time looking into it. There are a few people who've done it, and I may know how you can get it done.

Do you have the money to pay for it yourself?
