I'm biased.

Being alive when I was told would not be.

So come on celebrate!

I'm feeling a bit inadequate after that. My best moment...?

Actually, I'd forgotten, I did have one! Just can't post it.

Hard to argue with that.  Or top it.  You go, girl!

For me, coming out to my wife has to top the list.  Finally getting to the top of that mountain of fear and starting down the other side.  W00-hoo!

When my daughter came to Thailand to visit for Christmas last year and stayed for almost two months!

Best. Christmas present. Ever.

I can agree with being alive.  For a while in September I wondered.

A bunch:
1) Starting E Injections (twice - the second time was much better psychologically)
2) Truly accepting to myself
3) Being open with people about it (The more people who are educated the better off we are)
4) Piercing my ears (Last night!!!)

Restarted Spironolactone 26-Aug-2016
Restarted Estradiol Valerate: 02-Nov-2016

Cindy, I can't compare to that but here goes.

1: finally freeing myself from my own mental chains
2: finding I have the most wonderful wife and family
3: being called "ma'am" at Walmart the other day. Ok so the lady only saw from behind but a win is a win.  ;)

A lifetime of depression and repressed emotions is nothing more than existence. I for one want to live now not just exist!

Starting hormones I guess

It really does make a lot of difference to quality of life

Tough one...  this was a year I hit an all time low, and my life fell apart. Since then there have been so many incremental improvements, but no single moment during the year stands out as 'best', until now. So, I'd go with:

Waking up this morning, the last day of this year, alive, happy, and calm. Feeling my body finally, slowly starting to change to match my soul. Knowing that after so many decades I am finally on the right path, ready to make 2017 my best year ever.

That'll do, girl. That'll do.

Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

I'm sure that was a great experience. my mother came to visit me in India for a few months, and I treasure the memory of that time.
