I don't know if anyone has seen the movie (no spoiler) 'passengers' but at one point in the movie the two main characters are swimming in a pool.  I teared up. Three months ago that would not have happened.

if so for E being i had it before i went on T that's very common ^_^; i remember being emotional over a lot of things like that. But hey in the long run at least it lets you get your feelings out more?

Completely! Before HRT I used to cry once a year, now I cry once a week. If anyone brings up a deceased family member or pet etc...anything can set me off.

...

Yes - Weekly injections + daily spiro.

Don't get me wrong - I'm no complaining.  I like it.  I'm actually starting to be me.  I even got choked up when I came out to a long-time acquaintance last week when he asked me about a charity that I volunteer for that supports run-away kids (most turn out to be LGBT).

I was psychologically abused and know the power of brainwashing. My heart goes out to you for being conditioned to believe men cannot cry. But more importantly that your medication has enabled you to experience the basic human need to express your emotions.

I have my prescription for HRT, but have not started it yet.
I have always cried at the smallest of things. A song. A commercial on TV. Of course any moving moment in a movie. All musical movies. And I cry about myself as a transgender person hoping to get the acceptance of my wife.

Imagine me when I start HRT. The floodgates of tears will open. I will probably cry just watching my cats play.

I've on HRT for nearly two years, and I tear up at the drop of a hat.  I'm a lot more weepy than I used to be.

I'm not on HRT but just by allowing myself to feel my feelings and being more connected with them as I explore my gender identity has resulted in a similar effect. I'm far more emotional now than I was before.  I went to see Rogue One with my family and there is a scene right at the end that got me teared up. Like you said, a few months ago, that would have never happened.  I'm sure if I end up introducing new hormones to the mix that will get even worse.
