Yeah, you'll need to adjust your calorie intake to avoid gaining weight.
On a well-balanced diet, my former male self needed around 2,000 kcal/day to maintain weight, more when exercising. When I had my elliptical trainer, and was doing a 60 minute work-out 5 days a week, I needed around 2,400 calories a day.
Now, on estradiol and testosterone nicely suppressed, I need 1,470 kcal/day to keep my weight steady, or when walking a lot, 1,550-1,600 kcal/day. Yeah, 500 food calories less a day, roughly. I get to be a little hungry [emoji39] much of the time.
I suppose it's a drawback of tinkering with the endocrine system. On the whole I am happy with the results, though.
