I'm really wanting to get srs whenever possible but I'm worried my new vagina will end up looking more like a beaten ham sandwich than a vagina. I've looked up pics online but all the trans vaginas I see look sloppy and scarred up. And it's hard to find pics that don't involve porn. My girlfriend even said "that doesn't look like a vagina!" and I told her if she said that to me after I got mine I would dump her on the spot. So what do your V's look like and are you happy with them? And do they look at least mostly similar to cis V's?

I don't have my srs yet but if I can add my two cents, I find that some cis people have a bias agains't operated vulvas. As in, they would not see anything wrong with it if they didn't know it is surgically created, but once they do, they point out stuff just to show they have noticed differences (though, they have not)

On another hand, have you seen plenty of cis vaginas, off the internet, in real life?

Well, both. I've watched a lot of naughty videos but I've also slept with quite a few women.

There are certainly surgeons who aim for providing a designer vagina and I'll admit that coming away from surgery with something that will be porn-worthy is something I think about. When I look at post-op photos I mostly like what I see and I feel the best US surgeons don't cherrypick what they put on their example pages. I'm 100% confident that if I go to Wittenberg or Satterwhite that I'm going to own something pretty even allowing for the vagaries of healing. I'm equally sure that a revision visit would give me that designer look and that I won't be feeling the need for that.

here's what I care about

#1 not my <shenis>, I have a nice one, it never fails to make my gf happy, I need to be happy now

#2 sensate and functional to orgasm (giving it the 7" of my  <shenis> should make nice depth)

#3 porn worthy, why not?

When I look at the wall of vagina I can't pick out the aftermarket versions from the OEM and I'm prepared to have looks that simply pass. Really pretty will be a nice bonus and I'll be talking with Wittenberg about that but it's not a huge thing. Pre hrt I was very much a size queen for anal play, hrt has taken the edge off of that, still after GCS I'm allowing that I may become a size queen again.

Lastly how ugly can it be compared to what I have now? :-)

With all due respect, unless if you have had plenty (and I do mean plenty, as in raining women) of women on your bed and took a good look at their parts nearly every time ( not just usual glance before oral ) that is not quite a good measurement ruler.

There is a lot of variety down there. I believe you could try and find websites that show cisvulvas outside of a sexual context. I'm not saying you don't know what they are like, I am just saying "normal" is a broad spectum. About transgender ones, I began by looking at surgeon's websites, many of them have a "sample gallery". Suporn has a few examples, Kamol too, PAI CLINIC too, Bowers, Mcginn, etc.

I'm also a physician (GP). Although I don't see as many vulvas as a gyn would,I do see quite a bunch and fairly often. Before I enrolled in university I had a different view of what normal female and male anatomy should be like, but it changed simply due to exposure.

There's a book and companion website. The book is called "I'll show you mine". For the website search for "Labia Library". I assume its ok to post search terms. You should find an Australian site associated with the book. Lots and lots of variety.

I agree that people look for "flaws" when they know it's a surgically created vulva; the "great wall of vagina" has a couple of GRS results in it, and nobody seems to be able to pick them out reliably. I also think that most photos I've seen of "GRS results," even on surgeon's sites, tend to be early on in the healing process. (Maybe especially on surgeon's sites - I imagine it's harder to get people to send pictures of their genitalia years later, after they've gotten on with their lives.) There's a huge difference between a couple months post-op and several years, in terms of looks. Porn stars may also not be representative, for a variety of reasons.

As for my personal results, I have no visible scars, I think it looks within the range of cis vulvas, and I've had multiple doctors who didn't notice and one gynecologist who swore I was cis. Is it perfect? No; there are certainly details that could theoretically be improved. But I'm content with the outcome.

You could always not get the surgery and continue looking at what you have now....which for me, isn't all that appealing of an option long term.
