Is there still a national shortage of injectable estradiol valerate? I had to switch to the patch and am eager to go back to injections.

I know there are manufacturing issues due to the sole producer of the active ingredient no longer producing it, but I read a new producer is in play.

It's been almost a year and the stock still hasn't been replenished?

It took over 3 months for my pharmacy to fill my prescription, due to the shortage.  They did manage to find some for me.  In the meantime, there is a compounding pharmacy in Portland that I use, they are pricey but it is another injectable option.  My Dr referred me there as another option.

This might work for you as well

Yes, there is. Here's a link to an article I read a few months back. I was using estradiol valerate but had to switch to pills for the time being bc of it.

Latest news from FDA is that Par, the producer of delestrogen is still out of production, Perrigo, the producer of generic version is presently only supplying the 40mg/ml version and is in intermittent backorder on that.

I checked with my local pharmacy and they said they can obtain it, the vial I'm working on will keep me in supply through summer, making me glad I only need a small dose.
