I'm about to be on my third month of HRT.~
I was wondering when did facial hair stop growing back and what are a few things anyone did to get rid of facial hair before this happened?

I shave everyday but I stay with the shadow and I don't know if it's maybe my razor or using wrong shaving cream any help?

It never goes away. It only lightens in color.

HRT won't prevent facial hair. You need electrolysis or laser. It's a lot of time, pain, and money, unfortunately, but part of the journey. Builds character.

Start hair removal soon.  It takes time: a couple of years of regular appointments for electrolysis, and you can't shave for a couple of days beforehand.  So, best to get it over with before you start to present as female.

I am getting laser right now, which will kill off the dark hairs.  I will be presenting before I have the white hairs zapped, but at least they are less visible.

I see electrolysis is in your future. Check out Groupon for your area and perhaps they have some discounts. I've been looking for something to take the edge off because it is painful. So far my Doc gave me some cream with 2.5 lidocaine, and 2.5 % Prilocaine. Make sure to put it on about two hours before hand and cover it with plastic wrap so it does not dry out. Cut the wrap in small pieces to cover an area. Also Groupon has hair salons, waxing, eyelash extensions, brow shaping, botox injections, microdermabrasion. There is no short cut for total hair removal.

Honestly depending on your age, genes, and ethnicity, can determine how much HRT will effect facial hair. It generally won't remove all of it, but it can reduce it some. For me, I had some facial hair, and over the past 10 months it has thinned out quite a bit, but I also have barely any to begin with because I have a form of androgen insensitivity. So I'm lucky for that, but it does effect it to an extent but you will need laser or electrolysis.

Ditto.... hair won't go away unless you go through laser and or electrolysis. The beard shadow can be combated in the mean time by proper shaving technique. ie.. hot towel, shave soap, and either a DE razor or straight razor. If that's what you want to do. It is quite time consuming and it's a daily shave until you have laser done. Then a small amount of concealer will nix any nicks. Disposable razors won't get you a close enough shave to get rid of your shadow.

Harley, what is a DE razor?

My facial hair has slowed down considerably, and I no longer have the 5 o'clock shadow right after shaving.  I can almost go 2 days without shaving, but not yet.

If you want to camoflauge the hair you have, do this. Shave as close as you can. Moisturize. I use coconut oil. only a thin application. Now. get a tube of orange lipstick. This ends up being the cheapest option as all it has to do is be orange. There is orange coverup available but you should be able to get a tube of orange lipstick for a couple bucks. Put it on your lower face. Yes it will look like you are doing something extremely wrong, but don't give up. Now you can put on your foundation over the lipstick, use powder and viola dark stubble neutralized. This will give you a few more hours enfemme but should not be used in lieu of electrolysis.

It sounds a bit weird if you have never worked with makeup but knowing what colours combined with foundation will cover what type of blemishes is really handy. Orange works really well on beards and also any dark spots you may have on your skin. You can buy a simple 3 pack of cover ups that different jobs...I have fairly awful skin tone but can usually get a good result if I am careful using different cover-up colours for different issues. Red blemishes, dark splotches etc etc

Orange is the complementary color to blue which is a component of a black beard. Orange will not work with beards of other colors but a black beard is the most difficult to cover. Mine was brown and slow growing so hitting it with an electric razor then covering it with foundation was sufficient to hide it all day. It wasn't even to bad on electrolysis treatment days.

So I have had decent success using the veet silk and go  pro home laser system it is FDA approved but not cheap. I have used it for about a year now I try to use it twice a week but don't always succeed due to a busy lifestyle. It has significantly reduced my facial hair I still have to shave every day but there's a lot less shaving to do. I also use a pre electric shave to stand my hair up every other day due to the decrease in growth from my laser I don't need to use it every day. My razor of choice is the schick hydro 5 you can get them in a pack with like 17 blades I think and they last a long time. I hope this helps you girls out.
