Hi everyone, this is my first post on here so hopefully I'm writing this okay or whatever. :)

I'm basically going through a little issue, tucking. I've tucked a couple times, the most being 4 times. I generally just wear oversized jumpers, tee-shirts etc. (I've got a new thing for jumper dresses so that's nice)

But I don't always want to wear something that goes over my crotch area, it's quite annoying. I'd like to be able to wear a hoodie, or just a normal tee-shirt. Anyways, enough of the explanation. I have two questions/methods..

A friend showed me a picture about trans advice, and it had a control panty on it. I'm wondering, what would the effect be if I was to wear a normal control panty/compression panty? I've no idea how it'd work, it's not really tucking but would it flatten it all out?

The second is something that's more talked about, and it's basically wearing panties that are are smaller in size, by one or two sizes. How does this help, would I have to tuck and then pull the panty/panties up, or would I just be able to wear them 'normally'? And lastly, what if I wore a small panty + compression/control panty on top?

I'm just looking for ways to achieve a flat crotch area, I love oversized/baggy things but my wardrobe isn't all baggy clothes. I also like tight fitting clothes, my wardrobe is slowly but surely filling up with leggings  I don't really want to tuck, it's a hassle and adds time onto me getting ready etc, thanks everyone!  :-* x

There are tons of tucking videos on YouTube. Just search for "MTF tucking". I personally wear a pair of bikini bottoms that are about a size too small and they do it for me. I can wear skinny jeans without showing anything. I have to say though that I'm blessed with a fairly small member plus hrt has done some impressive shrinking to the two little ones...

I personally have something called a 'varicose eel' (a long length of veing that herniated down... there...) and its incdredibly painful for me to do this. There is an item called a 'gaff' I believe, you can buy, or are easy enough to make, that operate just like Jess said of her bikini bottoms. (And on the plus side is less of a hassle in the bathroom and can be used while *SWIMMING*!)

I prefer to wear skirts, so I can get away without tucking most of the time.  But when I wear pants, I wear shapewear briefs under them.  As you suspect, they do the job very well.  I do a mild tuck as I put them on, just enough so the parts are out of the way.  The elastic material does the rest, giving me a nice smooth shape.

I wear the "firm control" type.  I got them one size larger than my normal size.  Usually I take a medium in underwear; for these, I got large, because I don't actually want my stomach and abdomen squished too much.  YMMV.

I like to wear tight jeans or yoga pants. I tuck with a pair of undersized panties layered under a pair of panties that have built-in hip and butt pads.

thank you so much! i'm fairly small too, so it makes things easier. i tried to make a gaff once but it didn't go well. How do you wear the bikini bottoms, do tuck and then get everything in place, or can you wear them normally? Thank you!

I think I'm going to try some shapewear briefs or something similar. Do you tuck and keep it all in place by using tape etc before hand, or do you just hold the tuck between your legs and simply pull the briefs up to your waist/wherever they sit on you?

I just make sure the thing goes backward when pulling up the pantiles. The testies then snuck back into the "chamber" where they originally came from...pretty much on their own - I trained them ;-)

I'm comfortable enough to wear the bikini bottoms to the beach. Nobody ever noticed anything I think :),  it's really just a flat front.

Sorry not to sideline thread but Tina could you tell about the padded panties. Brand, look natural? Sorry again.

No tape for me.  I just hold the tuck between my legs and pull them up.  A quick adjustment for comfort and I'm good to go.  The no-tape approach makes using the bathroom easier.

I don't recommend this, in spite of the name:  :)

I'm with KathyLauren, shapewear panties or briefs are easy and work really well with pants and jeans, mostly not a problem with conventional undies with skirts and dresses.

If you use tape (and I only use this when wearing a one piece swimsuit) I highly recommend Kinesiology Tape

It's designed to be worn on the skin, is available at most drug stores like Walgreens, is waterproof and breathable.

thank you, they sound nice to use. I'll probably try them! And I don't really like the idea of using tape, unless I needed a secure tuck for an important event or something. :)

@ Monica and anyone else who's interested. There are several options for padded panties on Amazon but the ones I bought are called,

Bubbles Bombshell Hip and Butt Padded Panty

They add about an inch (2 cm) to my hips and butt, and work well for me under pants, skirts and dresses. I got a size smaller than I usually wear so they are tight and help a lot with tucking.

I have to admit that everything said by everyone else after hrt is true. Tucking after commencing hrt is SO much easier.   No more surprises in the morning  :-)

Welcome to the site. I hope you find what you are looking for.

I wear Warners hipsters. They seem to have a fairly wide crotch and fit well most of the time before I was on HRT.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment to:

When I first started looking into 'tucking' I had no idea that was what it was called.  My internet searches were quite interesting to say the least.

One of the places I found relating to the subject was in a martial arts forum.

Someone had posted a question asking if anyone knew of an old masters technique of being able to draw ones testicles into their abdomen at will.  Supposedly this was to prevent injury during combat.

Of course this was a very long thread, and I did finally find a post that described tucking, but it did make me wonder if there was a way to learn how to do a 'hands free tuck'. (no one knew the technique in the forum).

I imagine it is possible, I've been working on holding them in after tucking and can actually manage for quite a while if I don't move around much...

Any thoughts?

Oh, thanks to Kathy Lauren, who allowed me a big 'oh, duh' moment in another thread, I've ordered some shapewear briefs: Maidenform Flexees Hi-Waist.

I tried using first-aid type tape once, and it caused a raw spot to wear onto the skin of my leg that rubbed up against the tape while I walked throughout the day. This was even though the tape package said that it wouldn't irritate the skin. Won't do that again. I've resorted to simply pulling everything back as tight as possible under tight panties. Then, wearing tight jeans that don't allow for bits to move around. Seems to work for me.

I've made a pretty good gaffe from a pair of cheep pantihose that hasn't caused any problems.
Take the elastic from the waist of the pantihose and cut about 5 inches of the legging from around the end.
Thread the elastic through and you've got something looking like a pair of panties. Tuck and wear the gaffe. It can be worn under any underwear/swimwear but works amazing when used alongside shapewear.

I've seen a few different things for aiding with tucking besides a gaffe.
There's a product somewhere which is basically just a ring with a string on it. Wear the ring, pull it back and tie the string around your waist. Only thing I've struggles with my own one (string and a key ring) is that it tends to slip. I wonder if that's because I'm not circumcised though.

A more interesting one I've seen somewhere is essentially a clip that if you push everything back into the body and use the clip on the left skin, you can make a pretty convincing psudo-vagina. Trying to look for it now, but failing. It basically looks like a long, curved, flat bobby-pin.
