TIL sudoku techniques have names and there's a whole universe about that on the internet... oh I've always played by myself and never read anything out there.

My first search led me to https://www.sudokuoftheday.com/techniques/swordfish/ and, after learning what x-wing was about, I grasped swordfish pretty quick. It's basically the same thing, but one step further. Can you try that and report back?
