H-hey! I-I'm new here... I-I was just looking for some opinions on what I should do... I am a teen as a age frame...

growing up I never knew there were more then two genders, that people could be attracted to everyone or no one... I once I started high school I found myself in a whole new world, and I quickly started wanting to learn more and more about the LGBTQ+ (and so on) community, so I joined a lgbtq+ group that was not far from my school, and got one of my friends that were going there before me to take me. at that time I was starting to make friends online, and I got "mistaken-ed" as a female more than a few time. (looking back on it now it seems that planted the seeds that got me thinking "hmm... that seems ... r-right?" ... ) and from time to time I would... never actually correct them... because somewhere in my head it felt "right or good" (not sure if that's the correct wording) and through the time of thinking and wondering... I came to the conclusion: "I like being referred to as a girl..." and some time on top of that it started to become:" I am a girl.... w-wait... a-am I? " these feelings kept swirling inside of me as I met some people that I opened up to in the internet that actually felt the same as myself... I have told one person in my real life that I think: "I want to be referred to as a female.... or to be a female" (to quot myself) they were welcoming to me reaching out to them and I think it has made our bond stronger... but I'm still confused if I am feeling what I'm actually feeling...

err... I-I'm bad at this... w-what I'm saying is that... I am not sure if I'm a female... not sure if I'm still male... but I know I'm some sort of both... I can't say I'm not a guy, I grew up a guy, and always will have a part of me t-that will be a guy... b-but... I think I-I am a f-female too...

Like you I didn't realise until my teenage years (19) that I was trans and had never before considered 'I'm a guy'. Just because I didn't know trans or LGBTQ existed. And then that set the wheels in motion; realised I felt more comfortable being referred to as male (it felt right while being referred to as female felt extremely wrong). But knew that never totally fitted and now realise I feel more non binary. Looking back being assigned female never felt comfortable after puberty; before then I didn't mind so much because gender norms weren't strictly enforced and I could act as I wanted. Plus with puberty came gender dysphoria.

Anyway gender is a spectrum; with male and female at opposite ends and a mix of nb identities somewhere between. This may help http://nonbinary.org/wiki/Main_Page. I also find Tumblr to be a great resourse blog for transgender people; both binary trans and nb trans people. 'The non binary network blog' is great. They have a Tumblr page and youtube page. Also you might want to check out 'transkidpride'; in which your free to ask the moderators any trans questions you want.

Additionally it's important to remember not all trans people know from an early age. Not all trans people feel a huge amount of social or body dysphoria; some people only have one type. Not all trans people want to transition medically or may not want too n the beginning then change their minds. Some only want HRT or some only want one type of surgery. And it's ok to be completely confused in the beginning about what you want or how you feel

Who or what are you? A human being. We all have thoughts of that order. Some of us end up questioning the gender or sexuality issue. It is all normal even if not everyone has those thoughts. Take some time to explore those feelings. If you can find a gender therapist to explore them with, it can be helpful.   Meanwhile, Welcome to Susan's. Welcome to Susan's place. This is a question that only you will be able to answer. It's common for self discovery to take place in your teens but you appear to have a bunch of questions and few answers. A gender therapist would be a good place to explore your self and these days, schools often have resources available that could help you. For the moment I am going to give you a couple of links that may help you explore your feelings. The first is our WIKI where you will learn about the transgender variations. The second is "the transition channel" where a gender therapist will help you explore some of your feelings. Should you have additional questions, post them on this thread and we will attempt to answer them.

Thanks, ill be checking out the  Wiki, and "the transition channel"aswell as the rules and ranks and also thanks for making me feel alittle better about not knowing, its sorta hard not to feel that you don't know yourself as much as you actually thought you did...

Also, i had a dream about cross dressing the other day... and wanted to chat a bit on that, but I don't know how I would start something like that, a new topic? I don't get forums that much, I sorta feel like i would be barging in on someone else's topic or something if I just started posting about me x,.,x

p.s. I showed my friend my post on here, they said they might make one to, but they are normally busy, so yeah... I think this is a cool place...
