Hi,

I just wanted to know if any one has scheduled a surgery with Dr Meltzer recently.  I was looking to find out how far out there are booking surgery dates. Thank you.

I know a girl that had vaginoplasty last week and mentioned just yesterday that Meltzer is booked almost 2 years out.  However, she also mentioned a surgeon that has interned under Meltzer is now taking patients...Dr Ley, a transgender woman herself.

That sounds about right. I booked a consultation with Meltzer last week for April 26th, and was told the waiting list for surgery was 12-18 months.

It's about two years out for Meltzer where as Dr. Ley is much quicker in the same practice. It was closing quickly on two years when I scheduled mine and I just had mine done in October. Hugs

Wow! It seems that the demand for GRS is exploding.  All the well-known, reputable surgeons are booked up well into the future or have increased their fees.  I paid $7,600 for GRS with Dr. Chettawut in November 2015.  A friend who just locked in for GRS with him in November 2017 paid $10,000, a 31% increase over 2 years!

Thank you for the replies.

I do have a consultation 2/15/17 with Dr. Meltzer. I do like the fact that I live 20 minutes from Dr Meltzer office. But having to potentially wait over two years for surgery is definitely not something I want to do. We wil see I guess.
Thanks Ashley

It's worth the wait IMO
