Cindy

I'm in contact with Susan and the people she is staying with.

Her surgery went well and included some facial surgery. The surgery went longer than expected so she spent a night in CCU. She is fine but her face is swollen and she can't read very well at the moment.

She is in excellent spirits and very good hands.

Thanks for the update Cindy

Susan that is excellent news, so glad it went well. Hope the swelling is on it's way down and the rest of your recovery is nice and steady. Facial swelling sucks especially when you can't see properly and your eyelids keep sticking together.....but it will all be over really soon...think of Red wine in the Barossa Valley.

Take care

Oh, thank you, Cindy!  I knew the surgery was to have happened, but I didn't see anything here.  Until now! :)

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

I know that Sue wants to make her own announcements so I'm be careful not to 'steal her thunder' but I also know we all want to know how she is. I suspect it will be a number of days before she can read and type.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Sue phoned me a few hours ago. She has been mobile and had a sponge bath. She was under for over 6 hours so they kept her in CCU. She is fine and sounded extremely happy.
