Normally it depends on the body of the person when it comes to when the changes take place
and i understand that and i try my best not to fall into the idea that something may happen at a certain date
but i'm falling into that concept again because i'm feeling more white hairs that aren't noticeable other then to myself appear on my face iv'e been on T for a short period of time you can see below on my ticker.
But i'm wondering when that starts to happen is there a estimated time zone i may get facial hair in?
I'm finding myself taken back, i wanted to just shave my face before T and i said to myself a lot it wasn't something i'd want to have but i could cope. And now i'm like wow, i'm curious and i'm sorta excited for facial hair, first thing i thought today was will it look good? i hope it'll look good. So i'm curious what would be the estimated time or is that not possible?

It depends on quite a few factors. Genetics play a huge part. Me, at a little over 2 months, i am seeing a noticable growth on the chin and under, but most are white, only a few dark, but my hair is mostly grey so ... Some guys it goes quick, some never get uch, just like cic guys

I tried looking into my family genetics but nobody was willing to speak much about me transitioning
so i got very little idea on what they are all i know is what iv'e seen.
My dad can't grow very much hair hell i grew more leg hair then he even could it became a joke.
My grandfather looks like he kept a decent amount of hair and lost some at the same time
And other people in the more distant family doesn't seem like they've lost but no family member really porpusly grows beards in my family oddly enough. Soooo i can't tell? i just know hair wise its not bald but they lose some.

I'm curious too if there is a point at which most would expect to see some growth.

So far all I have seen is that the vellus hair on the chin/upper lip have turned dark in the typical pattern, but they are still vellus hair. I've got a grand total of 1 that looks a bit thicker that I've never seen before on mah chin. That's it. May take yeeears.

Within five years it should be decently established. Unfortunately decently filled in facial hair and fat redistribution are probably the two longest term effects of T that I can think of. It's different for everyone though.

My under chin hair and sideburns grew in fairly well in the first year. Everything else only filled in after my hysterectomy and has been slowly improving. I did notice a big improvement after my 2 year mark with it starting to fill in higher on my cheeks and my mustache is darkening. It really does come in stages and may take some time for it to look right. I'd highly recommend looking at Rengar's beard thread so you can see how it developed for him over time and what he recommends. Probably the best example I can think of on these forums.

You could try taking biotin supplements, but early on with T you won't know how much of the growth is T related and how much is supplements.

i'll actually take a look thanks for mentioning that post on forums. I've been suggested to take biotin before i am considering it.

For what it's worth, I've not noticed any more hair on my face but a few extra black hairs sprouted up below my navel. This was honestly unexpected. I have these 3 long black hairs that my partner loves and we joke about, low and behold I noticed a few extras last week and our joke will probably not apply anymore. I was hoping for facial hair but am getting body hair fairly quickly instead.

That's how it went for me. I'm absolutely covered in body hair (I'm pale and my hair's very dark) from my knuckles to my feet. My stomach and chest are ridiculously hairy, with a ton of growth around my scar lines.
Facial hair? Eh. I have a pretty patchy but dark section under my chin, all along my jawline and an unfortunately thick mustache. It all looks awful but I'm too stubborn to shave it all off, so I just keep it trimmed.

Weird how the face seems to be the last place for the hair to come in.

I suppose it's because that part never underwent puberty. Although the larger pattern of hair guys have in the adult body hair seems to have come in already for me. Holy crap it was just there one day when I woke up. Not sure if I'm going to be a werewolf or not at this point but I sure got the male pattern alright and it's changed color. Those hairs responded to T pretty fast. Not my face much, though. Everything's got darker and the hair growth accelerated. I wonder if I'm going to be one of those guys who keeps getting told to shave every day because it grows ridiculously fast. I knew a guy once who looked like he had day 2 stubble the same night after shaving. Must have had a crazy metabolism.

I thought I'd kind of dislike body hair but actually I'm feeling all right about it. Nobody's going to judge me for it or say it's weird as a man so that's cool. And I'm actually happy it's there. In the same way my male childhood friends all seemed to look forward to their changes. None of them were afraid of them like I was of mine back in the day. They all wanted to be men.

Me. My facial hair comes back super fast after shaving at least for the first 2-3 days, and then slows waaaaay down around the 1 week mark.

Ill be curious as to what color my facial hair will be. Below the belt its very dark but everywhere else its very blond. I hope I don't have a can barley see it blond beard. I'm hoping it'll be darker like my roots and just blond as it grows longer.

My head hair is auburn. My downstairs is auburn. The rest of me, including facial hair, is dark brown. Mustache is blonde.

I am having trouble coping with the colours. I am okay with getting face hair but it is coming in black from what I can tell. It has caught me very off guard and I have blond head hair. I know genetically my hair will get darker as I age but it is troubling me a lot lately.

I totally feel this. I am terrified that T will change my hair color. I'd be ok with dark facial hair though just because it'll be more noticeable then blond.

It seems to have done it in the body hair for me in the areas you'd expect man-growth. I reckon hormones do change hair color, E definitely does, I'm sure I read about how lots of fake e from birth control or pregnancies darkens female hair on the head over time. I took e because I was mortified about the prospect of pregnancy and it turned me from blond to muddy brown in a decade.

Since everything's just getting darker and darker I'd be pretty cool with T darkening my mane a bit more. Bit of consistency

Its funny as a cis guy I never grew any beard worth, I'm a trans girl so I was very lucky. All my brothers who are younger had all surpassed me. They are all taller and stronger. It is the luck of the draw, but don't worry you guys won't be any less of a man, i was just at my 26th birthday when I got on blockers and E, it had a good 10 years to develop, and it never did. Like with us MtFs its about relaxing, we all want too much too fast, its understandable given the amount of time we lost, but stressing and worrying about it wont help anything.
Good luck boys :')

Its all in your genes. Have a look at your brother, dad, etc to see what you may get & ask when they started sprouting facial hair.
  •

Kingsly

Unfortunately, there isn't. It all depends on your individual genetics. Some men can start developing facial hair as early as three months, while for other people, it just never happens. The best you can do is look at your family and see if facial hair is common or prominent in your lineage.

I think most people see their hair pattern within the first five years. Just when I thought I wouldn't be getting more body or facial hair (at around 2 years of being a hairy beast), more popped up. There truly is no way to determine it beforehand.

With that being said, you can always encourage healthy hair growth by taking Biotin or something similar. Even if it's not that successful, it'll sure make your hair shiny :P
